For example im accelerating, and i look down and the brake pedal is shaking. What can cause this? Really weird, my brakes seem to work fine.
Just noticed the pads might be down because they are ticking on both sides when I engage the break slightly. Would it be the worn pads or warped rotors?
If you need front rotors, you can have mine... they are DBA slotted and have done under 5000 kms. They are virtually brand new. They were changed to match the new rear disks which were of a different design so they match. Anyway $50+15 freight in NSW. Send me PM if interested. Peter
Three areas to check. 1. Rotors are not warped. 2. Rotors are not cracked. 3. Your new six pots are bolted up tight. You can check each of these by doing the following. 1. Jack the wheels clear of the ground and spin the wheel by hand. It should rotate with out any inconsisten rubbing. If you spin it and it seems to grab int he same point each time you need to pop the wheel off to check further. 2. Pop the wheel off, and inspect the rotors for axial cracks. Make sure you check both sides of the rotor. 3. Noting you have new 6 pot calipers they will more than likely have adaptor bones. When the wheel is off check all of the bolts. I have found they will work loose, after the first installation, regardless.
I'll bet the rotors are glazed, not warped. Google it if you don't know the difference... easy DIY fix.
When im reaching speeds over 90kms roughly, the break pedal shakes I'm getting old, when I go over 90kms, I shake!
