Hi guys, let me start from the begining... about 18 months back I got new Koni Sport shockies put in the front and back. About 6 months ago I had new springs put in all round. I did this because I noticed the passenger side rear wheel was sitting significantly lower than the other side. The problem is still there though because the passenger side still sits lower. I took the car back to the place that put the springs on and they said that its probably my chasis thats not straight and wouldnt look furher into it. I dont think thats the case though because it used to be all even before I replaced the shocks and springs. Can someone shed some light on what could be causing the imbalance? The shocks are all set on the same setting as well.

I've actually seen this on a couple of zeds, seems to be a reasonably common thing. then again crashing a zed is also reasonably common lol, does sound like chassis is slightly bent though

i agree martin, ive hardly ever seen a zed that sits the same height on both sides

From stock there are plastic spring spacer things that do change the height a bit. after suspension work the fitter may not have refitted these or they were damaged or something. thats teh first place id be looking

Yeah he had a look at that and told me both sides were on the same notch. What do I do next? Where do I take my car to check if its the chasis? If it is the chasis, is there a way to straighten it? Or is this so common that I shouldnt even be worrying about it?

8 or 9 years ago I read an article in an American car mag(don't ask which one, because I can't find it anywhere:eek:)that claimed that Nissan set the Z32 suspension so that the car would be sitting level once the driver was on board.

It would follow, that without anyone in the car, the stance would have the drivers side sitting slightly higher than the passenger side.
Anyone ever see that explanation elsewhere?

That is plausible and I tried to emulate this when I changed my coilover settings recently. I made the front drivers side sit 1cm higher than the passenger side. Got a mate to measure the car for me when I'm inside and it still sat higher on the drivers side.

Guess I'm just not fat enough to make a difference and have now set it level.

Does anyone else have this issue and how much lower is it on that side? My rear passenger side suspension sits about 18mm lower than the drivers side.

Yea I did mate I had a buggerd subframe bush I replaced all of them and still no affect.

I parked the car on a more flat surface just to see and now she sits pretley level.

    Just chasy flexi imo
My drive way slopes down a lil on the drivers side.
