What was the last year nissan made the TT,

In short I want to know which was the last year Nissan made the TT engine? Also does anyone forsee any problems installing it in a 90 TT model? thanks, Col

 

think it was in 2000. have fun trying to find that engine too, its hard enough find a 2k spec as it is. keep your eyes peeled on the jap auctions for the engine. maybe someone was stupid enough to crash one.

 

Buy a new crate engine from Nissan and quote a 2000 build date.

You'll pay out he nose for it, probably around $15K

insurance? what for? whats the story behind it? if you old engine just died then you wont be getting a new engine from your insurance...or was there an accident and someone else's insurance is paying?

 

Didnt nissan pull somethng off the later model engines to meet emissions standards?

 

I think they removed the VVT

 

Yep, no VVT on the '96+ Zed's. '94/'95 is the engine to go for, but the loom is slightly different along with the ECU.

 

I believe that VVT was only dropped on the US engines. Has anyone got a Jspec 96+ engine who can tell us?
