original thread was accidentally posted in the wrong section... my bad.

    here i go again.

i'm doing a bit of research for a build i'm planning on starting over christmas/start of next year when i finish recruit training for the Australian Army.

i'm looking at putting a vg30 into a s14 as i have always wanted one but pretty much hate the sr20, not enough torque for me.

theres more reason as to why i want a kouki s14 but no need to go into it here.
what i want to know is with regards to the engine, what kind of power would i be looking at with the following mods, if theres anything i have missed out like supporting mods let me know so i can account for that in the build.

    - healthy VG30DETT
    - 2x S14/S15 turbo's, would most likely go s14 as i'll already have one from the S14 sr20det.
    - aftermarket cams - not sure on these yet, what do you recommend?
    - cam gears (??)
    - lightened pulley kit
    - bosch/walbro 040 fuel pump
    - fuel reg
    - upgraded injectors - again not sure what size, recommended CC?
    - side'by'side intercooler+ custom IC piping.
    - custom one piece tailshaft to suit
    - custom dump pipes to suit turbo's and single exhaust
    - Looking into an aftermarket ecu with a map sensor to delete the AFM, what is available for the z32 as i cant find a listing for the Power FC D-Jetro.

along with those i would be adding a nice big dual core radiator, a good quality clutch(again not sure of type) and will be doing all the normal maintenance things like a 100k service & plenum pull+ all bypass'.

what would i be expecting with the above mods and is there anything you would recommend to add on/take off to compliment the build.

i'm doing my research now as life will be fairly busy for me while i'm learning my new trade(tank crewman) so i unfortunately wont be doing it all by myself.

    cheers

if it helps, i'm not really that keen on having a huge impressive KW output, more into a nice torque curve and power that i can actually use.

i'm going to be building this to be reliable, not interested in having a car that i cant use as a DD because its too hard to drive.

    Egg ....

If you're going to do cams...

...then should port and overhaul your heads too I reckon. But you say in the next post you don't want huger power just a good DD so why do the cams?
Will need manifolds... get the cast ones from MS or AMS. :)

i want to do the engine work once, then simply service it and enjoy when i'm not working.

that and i love the sound of a vg30 with nice lumpy cams!

I never really considered the "lumpy cams" sound when making the decision to buy my Z32(it was the two chromed dome nuts on the balance tube that clinched the deal for me).:zlove::p

555 injectors or 615(late model 555's) will be ok size wise, and i think youll be putting out in the area of 260-275rwkw with a nice fat torque curve, and good boost response.....

with your turbos youve selected, just double check that they are steel wheeled not ceramic otherwise you will have to limit your boost, and that will obviously restrict power to quite a bit less....
