    The splutter is NO bov,

If its what I think you mean, its a fluttering type sound, caused by compressor surge (bad)

well my bovs dont make that whoosh noise

but they make a different noise, hard to explain and if i could should record it. Maybe next time i am on the dyno. I do hope its not compressor surge but i dont believe it is, maybe its to do with the trumpet i got on it.Max

Actually the flutter is caused by some

BOV's we just put one in a mates skyline, and played around with it and it makes that splutter sound. I always thought it was the cooler but it seems that it can be made different ways. Also when i had 3 boost leaks 'vacuum hoses not on at all' i was getting this flutter sound.

The one i want makes a unique pitch that

sort of makes a fluttering sound it is not like your standard BOV's misfuncioning or compressor surge. i have heard it on a couple of differn't cars around town. It doesn't have a real high pitch like the HKS super sequentials but it is up there.

    Most BOVs

will make that fluttering sound if you tighten them up enough.
