finnaly laid on some colour- well our painter did was not going to waste it and try myself when he can do such an awsome job.

    after 2 layers of basecoat

and after clear has gone on

total was 4 coats of basecoat 2 control coats (part base part clear) to help with the metalic effects and 4 coats of clear 3 with normal hardner last with slow as the booth was a little warm and the paint was going on quite dry by then.

I feel a little overwhelmed by my mate and am not sure if my panel work has done his paint job justice.

more pics to come when we take it out of the booth on monday..... Oh I love ah3

It's a false floor that hinges on the original cargo shade mounts with a box underneath for the sub that leaves just enough room to strap the targas in.

It is far too heavy i'll admit, but that's why I made it quickly and easily removable :)

Used some hired muscle (Mrz Magic) to push the new zed onto the hoist.

Had another go at the fuel line to pump. Quickly scrapped that idea and chopped off the hacked bit of old line and made it work. Pump installed and connected.

Planned to pull my plenum and rail to install onto new zed to see how it runs but laptop is loaned out so no nistune to adjust for injectors :(

So scrapped that idea also and pulled the exhaust off to start engine pull. It is a very well made custom job from dumps back.

Under the car is very clean and straight. Only some sil damage from incorrect jacking. The rest looks great.

    finished like this today

Credit to Jordan. The more I look the nicer it gets. Been an oil leak from somewhere hence the wetness on drivers side. I suspect the oil sandwich plate.

oh I also refitted the TBO rear bar. I bought it and the skirts when Jordan was selling them months ago. Who knew id end up with the whole car lol. Colour even matches (primer) lol

Also worth noting that this zed has a full set of matching exhaust bolts and nuts. Cant remember the last time I worked on a zed that didnt need 13, 14, 15, 16 and 17mm combinations to remove :D

Got some mickey Thompson drag radials! Gonna complete my sleeper look and give me great traction. Gonna be awesome to hook again.

i still drive it occasionally. im depressed by the fact that i had probably one of the best painted zeds in australia and now it needs to be done again thanks to a p plater hitting it, dog scratches and the QLD sun.

put on my drag radials to complete my sleeper look. I reckon it looks mad. this will be the only mod to give away anything on the outside. painting the wheels alloy silver.
