Western Australia - Autosalon Weekend!

You walked out with my choice too Brad!

LOL, Great work guys, Was nice to finally see some of the WA cars in the metal...

Said G'day to Brad, but you guys all seemed fairly busy at the time, meant to come back afterwoods and have a proper chat, but ran out of time!

Oh well, hopefully Ill get a chance to make up for the late of introducing myself to the rest on the cruise in a couple of weeks!

 

WOW [VERY VERY LONG POST]

First and foremost, can i say it was an honour and pleasure to host such an event, without a shadow of a doubt one of WA's and possibly Australia's finest Z events ever!, and yes we won some awards for our efforts! , but more on that later...

Months and months of organising for 1 day, can I say a MASSIVE thank you to everyone involved, this is very much a team organising event and by god was there a lot of work involved, im totally exhausted from the last couple of months let alone the last 2 days...

Firstly the thank you's, in no particular order

SALON CREW

Brad - for organising the lights and setting up the display initially at the convention centre, absolutely great work

Ak - for doing nothing hahahhah, nar mate just kidding, i knew how busy you were and left u with little jobs for the event

Josh - Basically redoing my car and making the odd little bits which u dont see that much and printing out the signs, fabulous stuff

Rob - Merticulous work at setting up, especially pretty much washing/cleaning my car the best u could on friday night after days of neglection (more on that later...)

Clara/Dave - Well words dont really describe what u guys have done, sleepless nights making stuff, organising lots and lots of random things for the event, seriously we wouldn't have made it and won awards if it wasn't for ur hard work, so I speak on behalf of everyone a MASSIVE THANK YOU

Alice, Cha cha and friends/models - Wow, wow and more WOW!, really bought our display to life, words dont describe how u pretty much stopped crowds in their tracks, literally, snap shots going crazy from ppl EVERYWHERE, all on Zeds and presenting the aus300 banner in the background, top effort girls

SALON HELPERS

Paul (ZXxx) and Chris - once again a massive thank you to Paul for helping us set up on friday night, taking random pics and both of you for the zed video, i can imagine lots of very late nights, cutting and editing, can i just say that after 2 days of being there straight, still haven't seen the FULL video lol

Ross (Jinxed) - For making our buisness cards from scratch and designing them, simple but effective, can i say that we were almost gone of the full 250 at 12 o'clock on the first day lol (its amazing when u give the models a task to hand out buisness cards)

Shaq (name speaks for itself hehe) - for lending us the plasma screen TV and assorted stuff, also taking happy snaps of the event and filming it for the past 2 days!

James (JamesZX) - For basically making our posters/mod cards, u are a photoshop genius

Wykked and Caz - Wykked for sending across the Banner for us to use for the display, cost went through the roof for the one we were thinking of using, and Caz for sending over her buisness cards to hand out

Im sorry if i forgot someone, im rather tired atm and need sleep, but if u didn't get a mention plz complain here

After months of work friday finally came, everyone was buzzing, turned out to be a very long day, 6.30am - 11pm, so so so much running around and getting stuff and making stuff even, yes the last second!, even before friday came the previous week and a bit was full on working, finish spraying the car, constantly working on it with josh day and night fixing up mistakes and redoing stuff, and constantly on everyones back seeing what they were doing, feeding information between the salon crew and helpers, helping Ak install his boot, all this came at a cost to me and my car, the neglection of my car and how it looked, all i can say is to the ppl who are reading this and have not seen it in the flesh, it may look ok at from a distance and photo's hide a lot of stuff, but when u get up to it close there was so much stuff wrong with it, during the 2 days lost count how many times the public walked past it and pointed out the mistakes, got to me after a while and so it was by far the worst zed there, so andrew - minivan when u say smile i dont think u know what has happened mate, just ran out of time to fix everything, bitterly dissappointed that i couldn't fix it properly in the days leading up to it BUT the sacrifice was worth it and the overall club display prospered, which was a good thing

Ok good things again, can i say that without a shadow of a doubt our club name is out there, without a shadow of a doubt we were a crowd stopper, oh yeh on that note, im sure everyone is keen to know who the blonde was around all our cars , well that was Jess (and yeh lets just say she ain't that old ), holy f**king christ she was a crowd stopper on her own, words dont describe how she literally pulled ppl into our display, loads and loads of ppl in and out, great advertising for the club believe me, from day 1, 1.5 hours into salon, one of the lead salon events crew came up to me and said you guys have a great chance of winning some awards with this display and attention, and so on that note can i formally announce that we have THE FIRST AND SECOND EVER TROPIES FOR AUS300ZX AT AUTOSALON :zlove:

BEST CLUB THEME

PEOPLES CHOICE AWARDS - BRAD AKA PHATT

Was a nice reward to the hard effort that all of us put into it, well done to everyone involved!, it was an honour to accept the award on stage in front of everyone with the crew of course, the club award will be displayed at Clara's house for public viewing if ppl are interested, oh and we will bring it to the next cruise i promise, as for brads award ask him

I will leave u on that note as u are probably sick of hearing all of this, but i will say this, i hope we shall have a lot more WA members appearing out of no-where, lot and lots of photographers should be visiting our site and posting their pics, as for everyone else who took pics please post them up

Last and not least, we are already in discussions for next years display, bigger and better than this one, believe me, dave has already done some preliminary calcs on autocad for the rig we are hopefully going to setup, some promising times ahead, if people want to give me the honour in organising it once again i will.

Dude, You don't have a goddamn thing to be ashamed of when it comes to your zed. Looks great, sounds great and it obviously makes you feel great so stuff what anyone else says buddy!

Secondly.....Jess....haha.....you should see all the stuff the antilag guys are saying. bwuahaha. apparently one of them even got her number.

Now go have a shower, have something to eat and would you watch the goddamn video with sound already! haha.

so who was the girl that went 'la natural' and sat on the top of the car and kinda forgot that bits n pieces could be seen...? i spose the pics will be leaked onto the net within the next few days
also it looks like one of the pics has also made someones avatar with the top of their dress coming away and showing a bit more than intended.

You guys rock only fair you took out those awards cause the stand looked bloody unreal. Brad car looked minted mate and ak's sound system looks mental and Mickey just look how far your car has improved since that first tech day at Scottys

 

Exactly! and some call us whores! they have an autosalon thread that hasn't mentioned a car in at least 3 pages. haha

J.U.S.T. got home myself after all the logistics of getting everyones car and helper cars home. MASSIVE weekend and would like to put up a bit of a post and pics, but will do that when my eyes aren't falling outa my head....

AWESOME effort from everyone involved, just awesome.

After working in Halls creek the past week... well that guy should be :banned: . I been working with sex crimes division all last week i will ask what the legalities are and be happy to forward them to his e-mail addres.


with autosalon the best thing is to get your entry in very early as you can and book a couple of extra spaces for cars (sometimes they offer you discount for this too). This gives you extra space for display lighting ect.

The more info with theme, location you need ect makes it a lot easier for them to work into the show too.
