Sorry to say Even what you've said there is way too stiff!!! We get a motor pull for less than 1500 here, not 2500-3000. It pays to shop around...i rekkon I coulda saved you over 20G no shit. Cuz what you have on your mods list is bugger all to show for 40G. I mean I just hate seeing a Zedder pour out his heart saying that have spent alot of money (in your case 40G) its like more fool you. You havent even got body parts or interior done yet. I would SHOP around man and you WILL save money
icer ill pm you a guy who works on mine, and my dads zed. he just forged the bottom end and fitted up some nice turbos on his zed. ill pm you his name and company name. he CAN be a bit pricey but id rather the pay the extra and not get f****d around and have a mad job done. he is in springvale

Common This sort of problem happens to come up far to regularly, mines been at nissport for over 2 years and is still there! same sort of money involved too!
Hey Ice I'm suprised by this post, as you were their no.1 fan. As for bottom end assembly, I'm a apprentice mechanic but alot of guys I know in the industry with big engines get "Protorque" to balance n assemble their bottom ends as they r machinsts and head specialist too. Pulling a motor out is easy but Im just waiting 4 my TT motor 2 die (still goin strong for the last 5 years I've had it) so i can send it to them.

well apparently all i need to do is get my block bored and acid dipped, and i can fit my new ACLs @ 20thou. And apparently for $450. So im goign to look into that now. Bob (From HiTech) Has offered me a peace deal which im organising. Will put a low Ks bottom end in my car and use my turbs,injectors,UDP etc and use that. I need to find out if i really can get these pistons in for this price and not run ruff / problems. Anyone got a second opinion on this?

You would be looking at $450 just for the boring, hone and decking. There is balancing and assembly costs on top of that. Seriously dude, look around $1K for bottom end rebuild + parts at the absolute least. You then have the rest of the engine to assemble and put everything back in the car. I am rebuilding my engine at the moment and looking around $1400 just for the machining, balancing and assembly of the short motor. It's just not viable to run big power on the cheap.
dude u doing a compleate rebuild with after market turbos?? if so whats your budget???. cause these prices that ur posting seem to be very very cheap, my motor costed over 15k with aftermarkjet turbos, after market pistons ect. god luck with it though, you might need a secong job
well a story ends.... Finally. Guess who is back on the road...... And yes....FINALLY HAPPY! Well long story short..... Zshop had finalised some issues (wont go into detail) and BOB took charge of my situation and my car....We agreeded that Lindsay and I had come to some sort of agreement and shit hit the fan in the end. Well, we agreed on a $4000 rebuild (was half price from $8000) for a bottom end rebuild. What was done on this rebuild: low mileage bottom ends, reco heads, new water pump/cam belt/tensioner bearings, full gasket kit, neutral switch, and my TD04 turbos + injectors swapped over. also new fuel injector seals to suit my 650 cc injectors. Car is running at 1.2Bar now with bleed jets. Car is running very nicley. Quoted for an 11sec pass and over 300-350rwkw. Goes well too....just a little So far i have a smile on my face a week in. Few boost leaks have popped up but expected, and will be fixed this weekend. Power is there. So is top end jesus...TOP END!@#$%#@$ So the saga ends....all my thanks go to Bob. If it wasnt for him nothign would of happend. And as Bob is apart of Zshop, the praise finally goes to them. After a long journy i can now forgive and be happy with them and what they have now acomplished. Thank You Zshop. After all the money i have thrown to my car in there, im happy to have it all apart of Zshop again. Now i need to bring out a dyno sheet (but wont be via dyno again...sif i want to blow my engine again. Will be a road live dyno printout) then get some race wheels and take it to caulder. Then i can FINALLY post myself on the dyno/time slip forums. Cheers goes out to Bob, Chester & Zshop. Finally....GO ME!
