Hey guys came across this and thought i'd share. I think the car as a whole just works so well :zlove: http://www.canibeat.com/2012/02/well-worth-the-trip-mike-d-twin-turbo-z32/
Few things that ruined it for me. - That retarded Gear Knob (what the hell was he thinking?) - Having spent that much effort and attention to detail on it... and it still having Tweed interior? - The white Steering Wheel. Other then that, very clean Zed :zlove: MoulaZX
I actually dont mind the white steering wheel, it matches the roll cage, great zed, and it's the right colour
Fixed. Really nice Z, have to agree with Emile there, I also wouldn't plaster it with so many stickers.
I really like this thing overall, but two things do annoy me - colour coded fog light ducts and the carbon lip wing. they're both fugly. It was featured on Speed Hunters ages ago: http://speedhunters.com/archive/2010/02/22/readers-ride-gt-gt-more-z32-love.aspx
the original is made by Mission in Japan. Powertrix actually did a batch & is trying to sell the last of them, in carbon & frp. See their website or the classified sections on either of the US forums. edit: it is an original mission spoiler.
Meh, clean in parts but some things puzzle me... Why the raving about the engine bay? There seems to be some pink overspray at the rear of the plenum on the balance tube. And to me the paint on the front bar doesn't quite match the rest of the car... In the pic below, seems to blend between the wheel arch and indicator area, but at the front it seems a bit off... maybe that's just what happens with a good camera picking up paint on different surfaces (metal vs urethane)?
The car has attitude, like the stance, but as mentioned the e/b is clean enough but bland and the pink rubbish on the e/cover spoils it further. The f/bar looks like he found it on the side of the road, and the rear hatch lip thing has back yard written all over it. Over all i like the car, but It could have been much better with a few minor inexpensive touches. It is red though
Yeah i dont mind the 2k, finding that the tt front appeals to me more though for some reason... think it looks a bit more aggressive? although the 2k has a more "classy" appeal i suppose... Especially annoying considering i payed 700+ for the bomex, + repair and painting (enought to get me a 2k bar..).. and if i put it up forsale i'd be lucky to get what - $350-400 max, IF their car was the same red as mine as it has reasonably fresh paint. Not even enough to get a 2nd hand tt bar and get it painted.. and it would fit almost perfect (even though mine isnt too bad, just the LHS because my fullimadskilled panel beater just painted over my bent guard ) "Woo! ahead of the curveee" (no idea how to multi-quote and too sleep deprived to figure out how ) Your a big fan of the NA front right?
yessir. i think nissan got it right the first time, nobody gives credit to the clean and focused NA front bar. Depends on the Z though. If I had a short wheel base, bright red Z I wouldn't put an NA front on it; something aggressive like the Bomex bar you've got, or probably GReddy personally. it has to tie in the with the rest of the car.
I'm so with that opinion about the NA front bar. If you stick ducts in the foggy holes it just looks so.... Damn nice! Please don't get all up in my face about my front bar, it is what it is.
