I've searched but can't find... Can anyone show me pic of zeds with the infill panel area welded/bogged shut and painted?

I have a bloke trying to sell me a silver hatch, I was keen because it's Brazilian, but after receiving pics and seeing that the infill area has been filled, I'm not quite sure.

I assume this would prevent me from fitting a boot lip wing like a twinz?

I will say you need to see it on the car to make sure it follows the rear line of the lights correct, and I would also make sure they have not warped the top by trying to weld a continuous bead around the infill. I can not see why a spoiler wont go over a hatch with an infill I know the VS one I have will.

Thanks mate, I really was after one on the car though, should have been more specific sorry.

The wings I want are either the twinz boot lip, the mission spoiler or the bomex type 1, I am fairly certain they all use that recessed area to grab onto something.

if no other pics turn up I can sit it on my car on monday and take a pic wont have the glass in it though. Not sure about the design of those other wings so I will defer to those with better knowledge

It's all good mate, I know you're not the only one that has done it. There has to be pics out there.

I have a feeling that I won't like the look, though.

what colour is your Z? Personally found that a welded infill panel looks good only on black Z's. The infill itself adds symmetry to the tail light shape. Without it, on any other colour, it looks out of place.

    .... just my limited opinion

My zed is silver, that zed pictured is the exact hatch that I've been offered to buy. I'm not overly keen on it myself, but I am considering the option of a TwinZ wing if I could get it to fit.

So sexy. Anyone got pics of the underside of the mission lip, so I could see if it would mount to that hatch?

What's the worst that could happen? Just drill/grind away at it 'til the lip fits, it'll cover any imperfections you make.

Just putting this out there, but you are required by law to have a third brake light. If you can get a wing that includes third brake light (like TwinZ) over a welded hatch then all good, but with a welded hatch and something like lip like NVZ32 or brazillian like Anti posted you will need to mount a brake light elsewhere or risk a defect

See I think the opposite I like the black infil on black Z's but I like the welded infill or colour coded to match the rest of the car, to me its too much plastic on the rear.
