What, if any, issues am I likely to run into with wasted spark on my NA track car?

I'm tossing up ideas for an ECU for my NA track car, the 2 leading contenders are an Adaptronic and a Link G3, both seem to have all the features I need, the Link is a little more expensive and the Adaptronic comes with 2 metres of wiring attached to it which will make re-wiring easier but also only has 4 ignition pins so would need to run a wasted spark system.

Wasted spark is only used on engines where there is one coil for two cylinders like the early holden V6's, both get fired at the same time. One cylinder will be on the compression stroke and the other is on the exhaust stroke where it is wasted. there's no point on the Z with its six coil packs.
Adaptronic have an ECU that plugs straight into the factory loom which one are you looking at.

Wouldn't see a problem with it at all. Lots of engine with aftermarket ecus run wasted spark will no ill effects. Shameless plug, but have you looked into megasquirt? They offer a variety of ecu options with on an na application are as good as the big ticketed ecus. Just as easy to tune also. I have their top end ecu and it allows for sequential igniting and injection, boost, anti lag, all sorts.

Talk to Evan as well about options. The guys a brain when it comes to engine management. Tassuperkart that is.

Evan is a fan of the Adaptronic unit. I assumed the Z32 ECU they offer is based on their 440 which only has 4 ignition circuits so would need to run wasted spark. Maybe it's not, I'll ask them I guess.

As for the megasquirt, thanks for that, last thing I need is more options to consider. Oh well, sell it to me, why is it good?
