I recently had my brakes machined ( skimmed ) and new you beaut heavy duty racing pads put on.
After a long trip of 800 kms to Albany and back fromn Perth. I started getting the shudders everytime I hit the breaks. I returned the car to the brake man and he had to skim them again.( for free I might add)
He asked me if I had driven through a big mass of water, like a creek or deep puddle. Which I hadnt.
He then explained that they had got real hot then warped. He thought I might have warped them in water. Any ideas?
They are ok again now. Obviously I use them more in the city than driving at open road speeds.
But I'm just curious as to why this could happen.
I did take my car through a drive through car wash but that was long after returning to Perth ( 2hours)
