After a series of unfortunate events that helped contribute to the damage my engine sustained I am offering a GB on Walbro 255 litre per hour high performance OEM fit pumps. These pumps will suit TT, N/A, 2 and 4 seater zeds and are OEM fit using the supplied fitting kit. I have just fitted one to my car and can vouch for there effectiveness and quietness. Pumps come with a full fitting kit to ensure an OEM fit and takes less than 10 minutes to change over once the cradle is removed from the tank. These pumps require you to bypass the fuel pump control unit by simply earthing out the pump ground wire at the pump wiring harness as per instructions in the forum tech section. This is required as the pumps require a full 12 - 13 volts constant power supply to ensure a long operating life. Details Supplier - Unique Auto Sports Price - $195 including fitting kit plus freight Lead time - 2 weeks from full order placed Cutoff date - 30th May at this stage Extras - New OEM fuel tank pump sender cradle O ring - $TBA I think this should be a routine upgrade much like the 100k kit and if you are unsure of how good your pump is change it or you may be looking at an 8k plus repair bill just like me. Cheers Jason
Just wondering, have you heard of www.onroads.com.au? They sell a few supercheap items. Like check out this pump. Same as the one ur selling but without the fitting kit. Wondering what the catch is ;P
Yeah I'm interested Jason. Theres heaps of places that sell them for the $150 mark, but the kits that you pay an extra 20 bucks for isn't for the zed, its for skylines and stuff. Pretty good price JP has agreed to How many people are needed for this to go ahead?
From the Concept Z Performance Web Site. These pumps are smaller than the stock Nissan 300ZX fuel pump. They can be mounted in the stock location with little modification. This pump will provide enough fuel for around 550 rwhp. This pump can support more power than a stock Z32 NA fuel pump. However the stock Z32 TT fuel pump will flow more fuel and support more hp than this pump, enough for over 700 rwhp. The only reason we see to use these pumps in a TTZ is if you are using two of them, considering they are small enough so that you can fit two in the stock location. Two of these pumps will provide enough fuel for over 1000 rwhp with a properly designed fuel system.
The Kit that onroads.com is selling is different to the kit from UAS(this GB). UAS is for the zed and onroads.com, like all nissansilvia.com sponsors are a universal kit that will need modifying to fit the zed. This GB is for the pump with a specific kit designed for the zed. Pretty sure I'm correct but go ahead and correct me if I'm wrong Jason.
No, I wasn't accusing ZX2NV, was more worried about the onroads pump and what it's catch was. Seems very cheap for this pump to buy straight out. But as was said, need to mod to fit it.
STAY RIGHT AWAY FROM WALBRO!!!! I have had 2 walbro pumps fail in my 180sx and another in my silvia! and before anyone asks.... no these weren't the copy walbro pumps. Go for a bosch pump! :zlove:
Sorry mate, was just trying to clarify. The Pump by itself can be bought for $150 from nissansilvia.com. Need to kit though, so this is a really good price
yes u were vbevan, saying jason buys no name parts ,i guess its pick on vbevan day now :bash: :bash: :bash: :bash:
Thanks all for your quick replies etc and queries. First up these are rated to 550hp which is over 400 flywheel kw. Wizard has one of these on his 310 rwkw built engine with no probs and races his car. I have just fitted one for my stock engine putting out 276 rwkw and 327 rwkw with nos and no probs so far with flow. If you were building a built engine with big turbos you would need a higher flowing pump but this GB is mainly a maintenance related GB focusing on replacing the 10 - 15 year old OEM pumps in our cars. There will be many different Walbro sources for that I am sure but if you want a pump that is guaranteed and comes with a full zed specific fitting kit here it is. James did you have your fuel pump controller bypassed properly. As stated this has to be done and a full 12 - 13 volts needs to be recieved by the pump to ensure a long service life.
UPDATE The min GB number is 10 for that price The new pump cradle tank O ring will be an additional $12 if purchased with the pumps min 10 also. These retail from Nissan for about $16 I have included this in the kit as the original one was very swollen when I removed it and much larger than it needed to be, needless to say it was a nightmare to refit and gain a good positive seal. So its added to the GB for peice of mind. Cheers Jason
I am sure we can negotiate on the date I just put something there as people always ask. Will do a cutoff date for whatever the consensus is.
Thats nice good on you. Read above post Personally for 250 odd US plus post I would scrap the stock one all together and go a nice high HP Aeromotive or Bosch pump cheaper and more hp capable again. This GB is a cheap alternative for people running a stockish zed up to about 300rwkw as per above post
haha - how many extra hp does it give you? the point being, the stock one is good for *over* 700hp is there a zed in australia producing more than that? it's bolt on, no kits to worry about and most of us can testify that it runs reliably for 15+ years so why downgrade? somebody in our forum just said that they went through 2 of these ones in a short period of time?
There are plenty of aftermarket parts out there that are significantly cheaper (over a hundred bucks in this case) and will not perform to the same standard as OEM. Point of this GB is for those that have a questionable fuel pump they can replace it with a new one purely for peace of mind and at lesser price than an OEM part but it will still meet their requirements. I think it's good that Jason does these GB's on items he has in his own car that is pushed to the limit on the track, proves they are suitable for most Zeds here.
