Looking to get a little work done on the Zed anyone in WA recommend a place that will fit body kit parts and paint them ? Has anyone had any dealings with The spoiler shop ? according to their website they deal with Z32s, and can fit/paint kits etc...

    Many thanks. :)

First thing is, the spoiler shop is known to be very expensive. But if they give you a good price, then I don't think they do crappy work or anything. I'd recommend Dalcos in Welshpool. Dale is the co-owner and he was fantastic to deal with. I emailed him to keep up to date with the progress (panel repair and installation of 3rd brake light/removal of spoiler) and he always emailed back the same day.

Plus the job he did was fantastic. I'd say if you want to see the spoilershop, get a quote on whatever you want done from Dalcos too, just to compare. And they are right next to welshpool train station, which is great when you drop the car off ;)

    Here's what they did.

I think off the website its about $3635-ish for a full kit fitted and painted from the spoiler shop, which seemed pretty reasonable to me (but i could be wrong and it could be a terrible price lol)......

what kit are yu getting, and dont say veilside....

that seems a touch exy to me as well by the way, but depends on what is involved in the respray....my advice is look around before you buy your kit, make sure you get something you REALLY want, not just the first kit you see....

when shopping around for price, find out what the quote entails.

fitting a kit is one thing, fitting it to look good is another. a lot of bodykits are fibreglass moulds and will require a bit of work to get them fitting seamlessly which will cost a few extra $$$ but well worth it.

might check this place out you recommended vaughan, got a bit of painting to be done myself.

    Hey mate,

You are not alone. I was in same boat and we are in WA. So good luck. UAS quoted me $1200 AUD for the 2k front bumper alone. Called at least 10 places and they don't deal with 300zx bodykit. At the end ordered abflug front bumper from Japan. :)

i don't know about you guys but i find the bodykits pretty cheap eh. The quality of them isn't too bad - compared to buying genuine kits etc.

carmate aren't that bad. i've bought a few items from them - any fibreglass kit wil require a bit of massaging to get it fitting right. what i would more so look out for is the thickness of the kit. its a cheap exercise to buy some fibreglass and matting, and reinforce the corners and large panels for extra strength to reduce cracking or more so splintering!
