I have busted my drivers side window and cannot for the life of me work out where the fault is. I spent 4 hours messing around today and got something going as it ticks (only once) every time the button is pressed.

Tomorrow i will be purchasing a multimeter to test the circuit fully, however i am now thinking its a problem with the motor and i tried for ages to remove it with no luck.

is there anyone with experience in this who could lend a hand? I offer cash or beer :) (simmooooo???)

if you need to borrow bits to replace and fault find you can bring it over :)

Maybe it's the power window control box (black box :D) that may be the problem. (Like those faulty tail light sensor black boxes) I can have a look for you maybe on Sunday? I'll bring my soldering iron... If that's not the problem we can struggle together to rip out the motor :D

$100 says its the bllack box, common fault.. pull the plug out and back in or pull the circut out and have a look, often some solder comes out.. re solder all the connections and she will work.

i took a look at that and couldn't find any dodgy solders but i guess heating them up again can't hurt

thanks for the offers guys will let you know how it goes, driving with no door card isn't so bad :D

yep... I didn't notice anything wrong with the solder joints in my taillight sensor black box. However just ran some hot new solder onto the joints and worked fine :)
