Hi all, Ive been pondering this idea for some time now and would like some input from the WA crew. I live down south in sunny busselton on a farm of about 75 acres about 3 mins from town centre. Its a sweet spot to say the least and one that has enough room to camp up a good few hundred people. Im not suggesting that many but I had the following in mind. Friday evening motor down some interesting roads to Busso and set up camp. Consume lots of beer and have a DJ or something till latish. up early Sat for a countryside cruise especially planned by someone with local knowledge and a good sense of corners. A route planned to show off some of the south wests better points and finer wines. Saturday afternoon to evening, a bus tour of the local brewerys at a small cost to those on board and then back to the camp for bonfire and beers. Sunday morning will be hangover time till about 10am I would imagine and then crew can head off at their leisure back to Perth. I can easily facilitate this type of event and do all the organising. Im interested as to whether people would be keen to make it a long weekend instead of a normal one? is there too much stuff? should I include a track day at collie? any suggestions on this would be cool. would give everyone a chance to catch up with the south west members (all 2 of them) and see some of WA's finest countryside. Camping offers a cheap solution for accomodation and I could make facilities avaliable as long as numbers werent too ridiculous. what do the WA guys think? z
sure.. ill come.. just will keep my butt to the wall when around zeb lol.. you just want to test out the torches at night dont you.. ooh oh ddduudddeee... some kent in my office is crop dusting!
now ive been south to margs years ago with dub both in zeds and the roads down they are the bomb... top off, and the roof off, sunny day was awesome... pulled into margs and kids were following us saying "ohh wow... is that a lambo?"... needless to say i didnt correct him.
Need I remind you of this conversation replied it became obvious that you are actually the one we all have to worry about...
Sounds fun, I'd be in provided its after I get my licence back (4th of jan) summer would be better anyway, also need heaps of notice to get time off work.
I think its a great idea, I was thinking of doing something similar myself with a few mates, however playing golf down in buso instead of the wine and cheese but yeh different strokes for different folks
some can go whining(i mean wineing) and the others can go golfing. nothing like a casual ball beating session on a coutry course.
ok, well it just so happens that I also have very cheap access to a 9 hole par 3 golf course so as long as your not too worried about not playing on an international standard course then its a great cheap day with plenty of possibilities for a few beers. so looks like there is some interest then so I suppose id better think about a time. I was thinking that summer would be better as well but the only problem is that the place is pretty crowded around summer time but can work it out I suppose. I reckon that late october early november could be a goer? anyone else want to suggest a time?
