Pleased you are both OK with no major injuries!! Was the car insured?? If not, perhaps you Viccies (and us in NSW) could start a fund as we did to support AndyMac after his Zed was destroyed... I'd be happy to contribute - especially for a new rollcage!
Thanks mike, only third party insurance.. As nice an idea as it is I don't think I'd feel right about a fund. unfortunately things are becoming very expensive before I have even gotten the car back.. 1200 for towing alone before I even start thinking about reshelling and it's money I don't have. Really don't want to part it out, however it might become my only viable option until I get a job with a decent wage.. just thinking aloud here Martin
Geelong crew is happy to help you out with tech days and any way we can Meg is ready to provide all the food and You and Nicole are welcome to stay anytime.. Cheers Bryan
Glad you and Xavier are okay, man! Thumbs up for Bryan, Meg and the rest of the crew for lending a hand. Truly shows how this forum really is a family in its own rights! Well done, guys... ..... .... ... .. .
Martin, Talk to Mafized. He is going to part out the Zed he bought the other week. The engine is rooted but I was surprised the chassis/paint etc is in pretty good nick. Black is pretty close to blue BTW Martin, that stack is pretty nasty. Glad you are OK. I wouldnt be paying any more than 1000-1500 for the wreck if you buy it back. Insured wasnt it ??
Martin, just sent you a text mate, glad to hear you and Xavier are alright. Having driven with Martin before I can assure you all he is nothing short of cautious while driving. That cruise we took up to Bendigo etc earlier in the year, I felt very safe the whole time. These things can happen to anyone, AND any car. I'd like to see you get a Martini Z mkII set up, but if you have other priorities look into those first. After selling my Z I realised there are a lot of other things in my life that I need to build up before I get too distracted by restoring an old car. cheers mate
jesus christ. sorry to hear martin, i always liked your Zed, mainly because it was the right colour Can we get a slush fund on the go, at least just to cover the tow?
Thanks guys.. After just speaking with Bryan on the phone I'd like to take this opportunity to thank him and the Geelong crew for footing the towing bill from warburton to geelong. I'm speechless and incredibly moved by your generosity.. Whoever was part of it please let me know so I can thank you in person. And, if ever I can help any of you out in any way I will do so without hesitation. I feel very fortunate to be part of this close knit zed family and I honestly cannot thank you all enough. Any tech days the food and drinks are on me! Martin
Martin, as Bry said last night - I'm up for some cooking (I'm a good cook, just ask Bry and only too happy to provide the food you save the pennies for the car and don't forget to rest up and take it easy.
What a lot of BALONEY, Megzed!! When you were up here with us at our last Tech Day, YOU did not cook ONE Sausage!! Good cook, indeed...!! Oh, alright, just 'cause you're a Good Sort, and that Bryan bloke is a damn lucky fella, I'll concede and not tell all your Vic mates that I had to burn all the snags...! Still think you guys should open an account... I'm in for $50, so let me know the acct number please... I'm sure a few others would be interested to help a good cause. But, keep it a BIG secret and don't let that Martin bloke know.... SHHH!!
holy shit... glad it's not a serious injury martin. i'm with evan, put mkII build on the back burner and get well first. health + finances over zeds.
HeY man happy to hear that you guys are ok. A 2+2 shell should come up somewhere soon. I think we should start up an account and get a new zed project on the way. I am slightly pissed off (that you smashed my old zed you biatch lol all my many hours and busted knuckles!) Anyway man we'll get you back on the road soon, all the best, get well and there is help all over the place. Just call. Good luck. Alex & Kirby.
Hi Martin, Lynn & I wish you(and Xavier)a very speedy and complete recovery(true, I'm a little tee'd off with what you've done to a beautiful Blue Z32, but I'll get over that). When it becomes clearer just what bits and pieces you need to get her back up and roadworthy, I will gladly help in whatever fashion I can(I have a few odds N sods around here that may be helpful, and I'm sure some other of the Sydney crew will do likewise). Main thing is getting well, all else is achievable with good will(and there is plenty of that around, regardless of what is sometimes said). Take it slowly and see how it shapes up. Lloyd
