Good to catch up with the regulars again. Nothing much to report other than its the only meet ive been to where normally there would be 15 Zeds there was only 2 that I saw. I think everyone was scared off by Tektraders carpark incident and brought their daily drivers :bash:.

Was probably the last time we will see Fradda before he leaves for Sydney, hope you have a good trip mate and everything works out well up North

Blipman had alternator issues with the vette, does anyone know if he managed to get home ok ?

    Cheers

With the Vette, brake issues with the Skyline.
should have kept a nice reliable Zed, no issues with them.
Same up here now, most rock up in their DD's

    BigCol That's what she said...

I put pretty much that exact statement to Ben last night and he couldn't think of a time that the Zed left him stranded. I firmly believe it is the cosmos trying to send him a message and come back to the fold. :D

    Blipman Beer hooves totally work

Let's see how reliable Z's are when they are 32 years old, ok? :)

Yes I made it home, I think I'm narrowing down the problem.... I've got 2 things working against me and they go together really badly. Issue number 1 is that the alternator charges, but only just. At night with the high beams on it's only just keeping it's head above water. The other issue is that I think the idle jets on the carb are WAY too big and so it keeps fouling plugs (would explain the useless fuel economy too). So, I trundle along the freeway fouling the plugs, pull up to a set of lights and it stalls, and then there isn't enough juice to start it again as the battery hasn't been fully charged because I don't drive it very much.

I've increased the idle so that the chances of it stalling are less and I'll probably left foot brake it while in nuetral when I come up to lights and it should be fine until I get it tuned.

    yes....

good to catch up with everyone again...:)

Ben, the signs are clear. Buy a bloody zed damn you, and just accept the fact that you are meant to own and drive one.

    Cheers

Would have liked to try those curly chips at Hog's...

But I had to go and pick up the girlfriend from the airport, so I couldn't make it in time...

Speaking of airport, I've got a new job as Materials Co-ordinator for Qantas, out at Tulla. So if your flight was stranded on the tarmac waiting to take off, then it's probably me not getting the part in on time... :D...hey I've only been in the job for 3 weeks...:banned:

Sorry Pete, my mobile is playing up so didn't get your missed call til today.

Glitter is really hard to get off! :D  :D

I wouldn't call the Mustang a daily driver, but it does seat three better than the zed so we took it instead. As usual the company and the food was excelent.
