[VIC] 5th May SS Arthur's Seat Cruise [PICS]

Just got back home. Biggest cruise I've been on so far. 40 cars turned up at the first meeting point. In the zed's were Chad, Chris, Nick, Bineel (new member ZXTACI) and me.
From there we headed down Springvale road and hit the mornington peninsula freeway and went all the way down to Arthur's seat. Good cruise to Arthur's seat, lots of freeway driving which Chad seemed to be enjoying . Did a bit of twisties up and down Arthur's seat summit and then headed for Krispy Kreme's in Narre.

Looking good. Had a pretty good time, would have been good if we had more twisties though.

 

Yeah more twisties would have been better. Especially because I went the wrong way up arthur's seat which ended up being quite a short trip and all the other guys went the longer way. But still the twisties were fun. Definately going to be another cruise later in the year. Black Spur would be good.

yeah it was good, pity I couldn't come for the actual drive but some of the cars at the second meet point were very nice!! especially the white GTO

The white GTO is crazy. Probably the quickest car there. Would have loved to see the look on his face when Chad passed him on the freeway...

pics would have been better if it were full sunlight. alot of the cars had a pearl through them but the photo's don't show it.

Yeah that GTO looked pretty scary! Awesome turnout- 2 bad i couldnt match it with u big boys on them corners all the way down again! =(

 

The GTO is pretty damn fast. Not sure how it'd match up against Chris' Zed but here's some more info on it:
High flowed TDO4's.
Twin intercooled
Pod+ 3 inch TBE
Boost set at 12psi (I think) but not tuned so the 247AWKW will increase after he gets an aftermarket ECU and a nice tune going. His car's running really rich too, so there's definately potential to up the boost but this would take the TD04's toward's their limit so he might go for TD05's. His goal is 300KW at all wheels with a few more mods, assuming he doesn't sell the car in the next month.

 

Yeah next time you gotta bring the Zed out man. As I was following you down I could smell your brakes and I was thinking that it was my brakes. Lucky you managed to pull the jeep up though... Imagine if we had gone to the black Spur instead... 25km of curves as opposed to the 5km of curves we did...

hey thanx for the invite sandeep, pretty good turnout i must say...a very good mixture of cars...

day was good i just wish there was alot of twisties

nick your wrong i wasnt overtaking him...we were driving on freeway about 80 kayz, me left lane, him right lane...he kept playing with me and i could hear him keep spooling it continously trying to engage...well i lookt at him and he spooled realll hard, and we took off....lets just say i really couldnt see him anymore for at least a couple of minutes...

 

No offence Chad- i loved your car but my bro used to have a GTO as well with only a few little mods and that thing could tear up a lot of sports cars on the road but dont really no the specs of your car so cant really comment- Just figure a 6 speed 4wd Tuned up GTO could rip apart almost any 300zx if he was trying? but then again woulddepend on the driver too =D

 

Yeah the zeds comming out for sure next time- no girlfriend telling me to slow down every 2 seconds either! Just me, my blazn z and the sexy open road =)

 

no offence taken dude ...i never said anything to bring his ride down dude...i loved it...and i wasnt comparing how we were, who knows he may have even let the accelerator go as soon as we reached a certain limit...was just stating what nick mentioned wrong

it did sound tough as though, and scary to race lol...curious how it would go against off the line...i loved it though...sounded like it had awsome torque...

 

Next cruise will be in a few months time. I've heard that UNEEK (300C and Accord Euro from this cruise) will be having a cruise next up so the SS boys will be going and we'll just tag along with them.

Sorry Chad, more twisties would have been better, but you seemed to be enjoying the freeway anyway. We're gonna try for a Black Spur run at the end of the year to minimise the chance of rain. The midyear cruise may be the Great Ocean Road but not sure yet.

The GTO will be coming on the next big cruise for all those who want to see it. Should be pulling some better figures too after he gets a tune.

The next cruise should be in a few months time with UNEEK car club (300C and Accord from this cruise)
