97mm Bore....I didn't think the VG would bore out that much. I may be wrong.

Yep, says that in the add. Recommends Darton sleeves. Bit of $$, but for a 4L, who cares! makes Simmo's JUN stroker look soft as

 

yes this is what i said in my auction.

To install this kit in your engine, you have 2 options:

Option 1: you will need to have your block re-sleeved preferably Darton or another respected sleeving company, and you will need a custom head gasket made (the copper HG companies can do this)
Option 2: you will need to have a set of pistons made in the standard 87-89mm bore with the wrist pin moved to accomodate the stroked crank (cost about $800 at Paeco and have all the spec. for this kit). And you will make 3.2l to 3.4l and keep the stock block (dont need to re-sleeve)

And at this price, im sure you can buy the parts you need to finish this project.

Yeah I read that, but even sleaved, I can't imagine enough meat in the VG block for an extra 12mm. I was under the impression that 91mm (3.2L) was an safe bore limit.

97 is almost 3.7L!!

 

this is not 12mm over but 10mm over.

the crankshaft is stroked 0.25" or 6.35mm

the stroke was 89.35 vs stock 83mm

and as stated, you can only buy 87.5mm custom piston and make 3.223 liters
and keep your stock block without sleeving it

some example; with 87mm = 3.186 liters = 3.2l
88mm = 3.260 liters = 3.3l
89mm = 3.335 liters = 3.3 1/2l
and with your 91mm = 3.486 liters = 3.5l

 

Is this just a one off or are you stocking them? I might be interested in the near future but can't invest for a couple of months at least
