    Comments: Motor has nearly been run in since rebuild. Details of Build are;
    ACL Race bearings, stock rods, stock pistons, new rings. Bores only needed a hone. surfaces faced and new gaskets all round. Crank checked and straight, 100K service. New injector plugs and coil pack connectors, water temp sensor plug. all hoses checked and replaced where required, CAZ Racing bottom hose. still got all the standard pollution control gear.

    This car is in great condition outside and in. all seals are watertight and all rubbers in great nic. no annoying rattles. Only mods are the boost tap which is turned down to 0 ATM so its boosting the standard 6-7PSI and a 2.5inch full exhaust system and bilstein shocks in the front.

    this car will be a reliable nice, powerful car for a long time to come. Tyres are new and comes with origional owners manuel, jack with handle and tyre chocks, compressor, targa shades in perfect nic and targa bags with tie down strap and boot cover all in perfect nic. Gearbox feels tight and very nice to drive.

    Nice car :) very clean and virtually stock, a nice pick up and the partial engine rebuild is always a good thing :p

    .. however im sure someone will either say im right or correct me but is not 6-7PSI on a Z safety boost ? (suggesting an error code perhaps?) as i thought they ran 9 standard ?

    It's had a full engine rebuild, what makes you think it's partial?

    The boost it's running is what the actuators are set for stock, the Z bleeds off extra air when not in safety boost giving an extra few PSI. When you install a manual or electronic boost controller you redo the plumbing to to actuators so they boost to whatever level you set

    Well .. i guess he didnt bother listing everything as it would ahve been a veyr time consuming list. Also if i had a fully rebuilt engine i would be putting a bit more then 13000 on it unless it was done a few years ago but thats just me.

    And there we go i learn some apparantly new every day :)

    Hey Procky, your right and wrong at the same time and I certainly appreciate what your saying. The rebuild was not intended to cause the car to be able to handle more power but simply to ensure reliability for the next few years and beyond. Obviously I have only done the engine bottom end. everything in the heads was checked and fine and as the car has only done 100K there was no cause for concern there. The guy who had it before me installed a boost tap and just turned it up. The car ran when I bought it but I had my suspisions and so for peace of mind I pulled the engine and did the required fixing.
    so no, not a full build as that would mean new valves, lifters, springs ?? The list could go on but the fact that I was never going to stick more than stock power through this engine meant that this kind of work was completely unnecessary. So to rephrase, its a full bottom end overhaul using stock replacements where possible.

    also, TT's boost a little over 7psi stock I thought. The different plumbing might have an effect here, dont know, I do know that if I adjust the tap to 7psi or 10psi for that matter, it will boost it with no probs. Im running it as low as the tap will go and changing the oil every tank of fuel at the moment to ensure a good run in with not too much heat.

    Its 13,000.00 as I think that is a fair price considering the work thats gone into it. It is still a 92 model with a series 1 PTU and the FPCU has a bypass on it, its in great nic but not perfect. Someone would definately have to come and have a look though because aside from some inherent nissan electrical issues, the body and interior is one of the nicest Ive seen.

    anyhow, being as honest as possible here, Ive had a few enquirys so far, if anyone wants more pics or info, please dont hesitate to ask.

    cheers

    no probs, didnt know that. why does the stock boost gague only go to 7psi?

    in fact I guess this is answered somewhere already so Ill do a search...:)

    stock boost guage isn't in PSI, the boost your getting is normal when there is no bleed off happening. There is no bleed off because the factory boost control has been bypassed
