Just having a browse of various usual websites and ran into the below (not at the below site, but at a retailer):

A funky WiFi device that plugs into a car OBDII slot and sends the data to your smart device (provided you have the $49 app)

Wonder if this will work on a Zed... Be kinda cool to have your engine diag on an iPhone...

You'd need an obd1 compatible device

Doubt it'd work. I think there was someone or a few people who were trying to write a smart-phone diagnostic program, but ran into issues as everyone uses OBDII for that sort of stuff, with a wifi sender from the port. Haven't heard much about it since..

Its definately possible.. I have a serial-to-bluetooth converter that connects to a serial conzult cable, which in turn connects to my Pocket PC 2003 PDA and it works just fine, and is really useful to be standing and looking into the engine bay and reading sensors at the same time.

Only problem is that I bought it to use with my win mobile 6.1 phone and the bluetooth stack is different and it doesn't work so I'm bummed about that.
