Ok guys what would happen if the passenger side wastgate vacuum hose (the one you put boost jets in) was burnt through? How would this effect things? Would the turbo still function right?
2 things You would have a vacuum leak which generally goofs up idle and hurts performance a little, but more important you would be running higher boost in that turbo (as much boost as the turbo can handle if the hole is big enough! - bad!). By having a hole you've done the same things as boost jets.... not let the turbo see the real amount of pressure (reads lower than actual) so the turbo runs higher boost thinking it's doing the right thing.
