V-mount intercoolers??! Can anyone explain

    how that works and how it would sit as a FMIC on a Z?I've heard that there's less piping involved with V-mounts, would this improve the performance of the car?Thanks.

    Only in that it would reduce drag in

    the induction pipes because there was less length but it sounds like a very expensive procedure to obtain what would be a small increase in power!:|
    However I could be wrong as I dont exactly understand where the intercoolers would be situated other than where they would get ram air flow (ie the front)regards John:cool:

    Probably not viable for a Zed

    These are very popular at the moment over here in Japan - mainly on RX7s though I have seen on on a Silvia.
     
    Probably not enough room to mount the intercooler.

    That's what I was thinking

    you need a lot of space in front of the engine.... they're usually only used on rotors or cars with smaller engine swaps.Their main advantage is that you have air being crammed in the front, and low pressure sucking from behind it.... nice setup. Also aids with downforce :)Ben
