Hey guys I was an a pretty bad accident and the insurer is considering writing off the car. Its an 89 Auto TT 2+2 with 112K kms, FMIC, BOVs, mufflers, etc. The front suspension is trashed due to the car being the meat in a Saab/Gutter sandwich. The front bar, two front guards and doors are all scratched or dented. 3 of the brand new wheels are scratched badly. The car RAN FINE before. THE ENGINE BAY IS NOT DAMAGED AT ALL. Is anyone interested in purchasing it??? Also, can those in the know please provide a rough estimate as to the value of the wreck? I dont have long to advise the insurer what i want to do so please respond if you know about this stuff. it doesnt look like a write off when you see it and the frame of the car doesnt appear to be damaged, its just so expensive to fix due to so many panels being scratched and dented. The quotes are $4500 for smash repairs and about the same for suspension repairs and new wheels. the car starts fine but doesnt drive due to the front suspension. Cheers guys!!

I dont want to pull it to bits yet if at all Im more looking for someone in sydney who wants to take the car whole I'd also like to here from people who have had the same thing happen, i just want to know what the wreck is worth as is, whether it be by private sale as a complete car or to a wrecker or in bits over ebay/forum etc... i just need some dollar figures to help decide whether to fix it or write it off. but for the record, the headlights are ok i think, and no i dont have any pics, and i have no idea what mufflers they are. edit: Also, is anyone interested in the complete engine with loom and tranny???

Hmm ok. Let us know when you want to let go for parts. Otherwise good luck with the sale. Hopefully someone would give you a good price for it. It is a shame about the accident though. Are you planning on another replacment Z?
if your gonna strip it, im very interested in the gearbox. i could organise coming down and getting it out before you sell it if the option is available
Replacement Z Probably won't get another Z, next is an R34 GTS-T i reckon. Or a shit car and a glider =) The next Z i get will be a 350z.
