UAS SMIC's?

    I love that line. I only paid $370 for a pair of brand new Japteks a few weeks ago. :)

    Short of ridiculously high profit margins, competition on cost alone only serves to force otherwise high quality manufacturers to compete on cost through a reduction in quality.

    SMIC's are one item... but imagine what happens when you apply the same concept to something critical like suspension or engine compenents. Recipe for disaster.

    I have them too, also as part of the GB in 2003. I think MRTT also got his then from memory.

    They aren't on special atm. :( and I'd need custom air guides as well. :\

    Whats the benefit of them over auturbo smic ?

    I guess more people on here have used them and given positive experiences, they seem to be quite efficient and have an acceptably low pressure drop. They're also bigger ;)

    I also have found them to be a huge improvement over the stock coolers at 12psi - the car is much more responsive due to have a cooler intake charge :)

    The Japteks are perfectly OK to use at 15-18PSI (possibly more, others may provide better info) without issue as long as you have supporting mods to prevent running lean and detonation.
