its doable, but really, good power can be made on your existing power with a big single....

That's my thinking too. Unless you're going to go sequential to eliminate lag, I dont really see the point.

would save much trouble if i just upgraded the one on it ..i think i need a boost regulator first as its only running standard boost which is around 5 to 6 pounds
the lag is nonexistant except the turbo runs out at around 4500 revs and starts at about 2500

TTing it would be approx 4 shitloads harder than fitting on a bigger single.

i recon a million times harder as stickin a bigger turbo on only requires something which will fit onto existing manafold ..where as tting requires second turbo manafold plus fitting pipes in and running more oil pickup lines
and anyone who has one knows how much room is inside the bonnet ...which is NONE
still going to drag shit outa the engine bay ..i dont need the aircon system as it has no gas and costs to much to refill

One good thing you can do is highflow the turbo on there now, its the same turbo as on the vl turbos and can make good power when down right, my mate highflowed his in a skyline with a VL rb30 and made 230kw from it with other upgrades aswell, but motor was stock and stock injectors, just a good tune, Ran flat 12s and the 4door r31 lines way about the same as the Z31

could be the way to go ..it should have 200horses at the wheels or thats what nissan claimed when the car was first produced .
its also had r33 injectors installed
one problem is the cylinder shape its an almost square cylinder similar width to depth where as racing motors generaly had a wide piston with a shallow cylinder

I don't see what the bore to stroke ratio has to do with a low powered engine. You can still get 600hp+ without major dramas. It's got a oversquare ratio as it is. Look into things that matter and forget about that.

Agree with Gottago, get that thing highflowed and it will do up to 260rwkw. You'll need the other stuff to go with it thought. Intercooler, bigger injectors, Nistune or other ECU, decent turbo back exhaust etc. Coupla grand worth anyway...

the bonneville 300zx that holds a 405km record at the flats was based on the twin cam vg30 !!! amazingly there good engines with the right turbo setup..

mind you that was running twins
