you only need to do the low speed mod on cars running a dummy afm, or only one working one, because your getting readings from both your afm's you dont need it, thats what i understand anyway
Thanks Peter, I'm not too worried about it, but I had never been able to get any information about it. Does the SAFC average the 2 signals or does it some how get a left and right bank tune going ?
Yup, put that one on the wish list...I like, although I can't see how the price is justified...it's all of $60 in parts including the overpriced connectors and the chip used to average out the voltages.
some one could run a group buy, i would be in cause 100% i want one.......... the omly forseable problem for my set up (pod in each corner where factory sidemounts would be) would be the length of the cables, looks very short as if it is set up for a "doolz" type set up
Theyve made it a bit smarter than that, apparently flicking some dip switches will change it from ADD to AVG and vice versa. Makes it alot more versatile. But yeah its expensive, they would be compensating for the R&D on a niche product. Unfortunatly the length of the leads means it can only be used in a DOOLZ style setup rather than under headlights like mine.
i was thinking about the length, but that can either be extended by yourself easily, or i can email and ask about longer link, im gonna shoot them an email now and ask of gb options. yeah, cost comes from not having a large market. just emailed, will see what happens
Seeing the website only went live 15 days ago, and this is their only product which they currently say is unavailable, it may be a bit of a wait before you get some GB pricing, let alone modifications.
contact with seller well ive sent the seller a email, with a request for information and the possibility of a group buy and better pricing if purchasing a set number of units, we weill see how we go, ill let everyone know when he gets back to me..... id be happy to step in and run a group buy for the interested partys, but we can wait and see when they are available and at what price before we get serious........ sorry for the thrad hijack though, lol!!

well if a group buy eventuates, then ill get the wa and guys organised and posted out from here, and you do the rest, might make postage cheaper doing it that way, sound like a plan?
haha sure man, sounds good, and if anything having more emails/interest might push the designer more towards the idea. i guess we just wait for a reply from the company can the interested people that have been following this post if they would want one pending price and details?
true that, im also going to talk to my uncle whos an electrical engineer, and see the principle behind this and if he would have a go fabbing one up, hopefully it works
Selin Design replied, as to cost, he said theres no option of a discount on more items as he said his vendors cant do it for any less, and in reply to the wiring extension, he said that, although he cant do a discount, hes sure he could, for the people that wanted it, do the longer wiring free of charge. could someone post up a pic of the setup that would need longer wires, he wants to see what i meant by needing an extended version, thanks guys
