The first round of the Vic Hillclimb Comp starts with a twilight meet at Bryant park (Haunted Hills) in two weeks time. Racing starts at 1.00 and finishes at 7.00. I was talking with RedZedMikey who siad he may be interested in organising a bit of a cruise down to the track in the afternoon to check out some action. Anyone interested in joining him for say a 1.00 to 1.30 departure from somewhere in the Hallam/Pakenham side of Melbourne?

OK, I'll head up a cruise to Bryant Park (Haunted Hills) near Morwell - Saturday January 29th. Come and support Peter (wykked) in his second attack on the Victorian Hillclimb Championship. Pete finished 3rd in class last season, lets get behind him for his 2011 challenge. Start point details below.

Meet in the carpark at Hungry Jack's and KFC, corner of Princes Hwy and Belgrave-Hallam Rd, Hallam, facing Princes Highway. I will be in an orange Falcon XR6, not the Zed. You can refill yourself here, there is a Shell servo just before KFC on Princes Hwy to refill your car. I expect to arrive arround 12:30pm for a 1:00pm departure.
    Melways Map 91 ref G 12.

If wanting to come, but not on the cruise, enter Bill Schulz Drive, Yallourn into Whereis or Google maps to get the track location.

No plans to stop en route; will probably take just over an hour. As non competitors, we will probably be required to park in a separate area; there will probably be a $5 per head (or maybe per car) charge for entry. Walk from our car park past club building and pit garages to circuit and pit parking. There are several vantage points for photos, videos, or general viewing. The Bryant Park circuit runs several different configurations; most of the track is visible from the different points. I will be spending time on the deck at the club house, on the start line, down at turn 1, and probably down at turn 3. Food and drinks should be available from the shop in the clubhouse.

Now, start praying for fine weather!!!

My mobile number if needed is 0457-029822.
