Product reviews/feedback please ???? All you guys who've purchased the knocklight, how about a product review or some feedback. Like a lot of others on the forum, I'm interested in this product but want to know some more about sensitivity, ease of adjustment, accuracy etc I think most members would be using their oem knock sensor, so any feedback would be beneficial.
the above + this pic below is a good review of the product... item is located to the right of the fuel gauge
let us know how it works mate. (though i guess u dont wanna rly see it workin coz then u would have knock) and i see we have same head unit!!!!
that pic is rom's car... he has had his for a while and ive seen it in action in his car. looks like it works very well from wat i can see... but in addition to that how can you compare its accuracy as zx299 asked. i guess the only way is on a dyno really ?? with the headphones on and compare that with when the knocklight goes offf... rom hasnt dyno'd his car yet to compare this though... not sure if anyone else has tested thru that method though
The wrx guys seem to test it against the stock knock sensor - aparantly they can log knock on their ecus? Anyway, it's easy to install, shiftlight works well Easy as tapping a button to change sensitivity level. Easy to set. I have mine set at its most sensitive level and haven't seen it activate yet, but thats kinda expected cause my tune is so safe. I'll know more once the tune gets more agressive. Can we see knock at all in consult or similar???
knock readings arent available via consult dave can u post when they are in stock, id be interested in one
Hey guys These should be in stock now. As per previous post contact james for ordering and payment 02 9987 0127 Thanks Dave
So if you are using the Bosch setup and don't want the shift light facility, then it would not have to be wired to the ECU?
Bosch setup as in it's own det sensor? I would say no need to access ecu in that case if you don't want the shift light...
