turbo upgrade

hey guys
im geting 2x stock 13b rx7 turbos for free, im wondering if it is posible to put the on the 300, and if they would make a big improvement?

 

Depends on what 13b rx7 its from.

 

pretty sure they wouldnt be a direct bolt-on.



Edit: just realised effort to fit vs gain would be small if any.

 

kinda off topic but I have searched and searched anyone got a link to the thread about using silvia S14 turbos on the VG ???

its from the searies 5 or something these people think its going to make a big differance i just want to check before i pull it all apart and to se if its worht doing. thanx

 

I would not have thought it would be worth while

If your going to upgrade your turbos you may as well go the full 9 yards seeing as though it is such a big time consuming job....pulling the engine etc...

Go with some nice gt28r's of if you have the cash some hks ones

 

Good point. The series 5 are the TT set up and are not going to flow much more than what you have as standard. I think if you are going to pull it apart to do that you are better off just fitting a new Gt28RS combo. In the whole scheme of it the turbos will be the cheapest part to purchase.

 

you can make some sweet hybrids based on 13b turbo's but im not really sure if its worth it on a Zed

 

Nope, S4/5 are single turbo, Hitachi IIRC. The series 6/7/8 are the twin turbo ones.

Go some 28's, easier and probably cheaper in the long run.

 

i thought it was the s15 turbos...and i thought they were the gt28r turbos (well for the s15 turbo, not turbos)
