Turbo Upgrade, a freshen up and plenty more goodies! (pic heavy)

hey all,

well i've been a little quiet lately, mainly due to the bottomless money pit in the garage that has consumed my life
anyway thought i'd share some pics with everyone of how things are going..
excuse the crappy quality some pics were taken with my phone and the flash is farked
its taken longer than i wanted and im itching to drive her again.. but there is light at the end of the tunnel and shes nearly there :zlove::zlove:

the weekend i first got her home last may, stock standard apart from ugly rims and terrible Kakimoto cat back

a few weeks later and the engine nearly ready to go back in..

midnight finnish with my mate adam and the motors back in the hole, complete hicas delete along with everything else not needed, a thorough cleaning and then just to tidy up the new loom and start connecting everything

Thanks for sharing Scott,really like the look of the rear,2k lights+brazillian+Silver.Everything looks so clean.Those skirts will look good.Wish i could start on my upgrades.

 

thanks guys, i wanted to make it my own while still being clean and not too over the top.. sort of OEM like if they had made a z-tune version or something.. should look sexy when its all finished (greddy/uas front bar genuine kaminari skirts FTW )

Favourite pics? The pile of boxes, because the child in us all still yearns for Santa Claus all year round.

how come you've left the plenum off?? alot easier to put it back on with engine out.

i tossed up a bunch of ideas with the plenum but polishing it and the throttle bodies was a bit too much bling for me so sprayed it shiny alumuninium the same as the water pipes and power steering resi

looks good fits in well with the car

 

nah not really.. had it on an off a few times sorting bits out.. i dont have any crap whatsover connected to it its all gone just the 2 pcv hoses and 2 vac lines on the side, 1 to my FPR and the other to one of my BOV's

and the turbos are garrett GT600Rs

 

Hmm.

I noticed a torque converter one of the screen shots, are you sticking with the auto box? might be a good time to convert? Also did you use stock manifolds or get the better flowing AMS ones?

 

manis are extrude honed, and yeah ill be keepin it auto as its my daily and more drag strip than circuit..

 

Really nice work there but bov's with the auto? do they plumb back? or is this a rice thing

pretty much yes i love the sound of hks ssqv's and being auto makes no difference they do the same job.. just dont hear them on every boosted upshift as i dont need to lift between gears

 

took a pic of the plenum and sat the throttle cable cover on it.. doesn't come up as shiny in the photo but you get the idea,, should look good on the motor and with my intake hardpipes i think it all ties in quite well :zlove:

lol not a whole lot.. been a little unmotivated lately.. i hate auto electrics with a passion :bash: .. ill post up some more pics in the next day or two when plenum is back on and i finnish mounting oil and tranny cooler

HELP.. can someone tell me where this plug is from?? i splices out of off the bit of loom that comes from under the headlight and goes to alternator and gearbox.. im thinkin it may have been boost solenoid before i deleted them.. just need to know before i chop it off and throw into the pile of uneeded plugs
