    Hi,

A friend of mine has just got a 89 300zx TT Manual. The turbo pressure will build up fast but once it gets to positive pressure it sounds like the stock BOV's are releasing the pressure. So it only get to about 2psi.

I've had a look and couldn't find any pipes out of place. Does anyone have any other suggestions?

The car needs to be up to temperature

To start with,Use the tech section and search to access the ecu fault code system .Also TT net.com is very helpful.

    As above, check codes.

    ECU Diag
Do as above, but connect the pins with a paper clip or similar.

    Report back.

    Almost certainly a boost leak

you will need to pressurise the plennum (blow up the motor) to find it/them.

    But also could be...

On further thought, if the vacuum lines are disconnected/broken/misconnected , particularly the one/s to the wastegate, you'll get almost no +ve boost.
    See Ya,
