Since Scott from Source Automotive in Moonah closed shop...finding it difficult to find anyone down here that. Is interested in servicing 300zx Knows anything about them Who do you guys down here use..im in the south but dont care where if there is a good one down here. Blown a turbo which i probably will have to send to mainland to fix and also looking at 100k service Let me know so i can fix my beast and then organise a cruise or two
Welcome to Tassie I've struggled to find a Z specialist and the so called Turbo specialist in Devonport said I had the wrong O2 sensors ( I wanted them installed - bought off caz ) when I plainly had the very correct ones. i ended up installing them myself and guess what - they fitted prefectly, so much for that specialist. I plan on sending most items that I can to Vic, NSW or even Qld for Z specialist work. This may even include Turbo's once I manage to get them off. I did my own 100k service Nov last year, so happy to help you there if needed. (It was the first major job I had ever attempted and It went brilliantly) If you locate someone good... spread the word I'll use them as well. Cheers, Pete
Spoke with Scott a few months ago, at that stage he was working for someone training apprentice mechanics or something. He said that he had sold all his tools/manuals to a couple of mech's in Hobart. The name escapes me at the moment but I believe that LadyZ had some work done there and was not too impressed with the results.
... Lady Z is in QLD (Ormeau, adjacent to the G-Coast) where she hangs out with her resident Derro, Mr Codswallop .... LOL....
