TTS Review

  1. Just purchased one of Karl TTS units and thought I would give it a bit of a wrap.

I am using it as a launch control (more of a burnout control at the moment) which is triggered by the sensor on the clutch which runs through a relay. Anyway when you put your foot on the clutch it is rev limited to 6000rpm then goes back to the normal tune with the clutch out.

It works great however I have a fat lazy foot and sometimes I hit the clutch before I take my foot off the throttle and cause it to hit the limiter and flood.

Does anyone have any other great ideas on uses for one of these:

I have seen it used for:

    a launch control
    an economy tune
    a nitrous tune

    Hi Jason...

Can i ask why you have your launch control tune set at 6,000rpm?

Because the stock tune has the rev limiter set at around 6,400 off memory, so I can't see any benefits here apart from just sitting doing burnouts instead of properly launching.

I thought it was 7200rpm Benny?

    Probably right Chris

Mines around that, but i thought that my tune had the limiter raised from stock. oh well, i could always rip my tune and check it out - or just crack a beer instead. Hmm, might go with the latter. :D
