    Hi guys,

Ill be swapping out my NA subframe & diff for a TT subframe & diff which is why i thought i would ask before i start it

    1) What suspension parts would i need that i wont have on my NA rear end?

    2) Would i need a HICAS lockout kit? Would i have any HICAS related stuff on the subframe or is that stuff on another part of the zed?

    3) Would i need a TT driveshaft or could i use my current NA driveshaft or swap the ends?

    4) What is the best/ideal bush setup for the diff & subframe? Ive read a few threads & ive seen mix responses....is solid diff bushes & energy suspension bushes for the subframe the best option?

    5) Is there a kit i can buy from somewhere that i could use to rebuild the diff internals? Ill be using leader gears however im contemplating getting a quaife TT diff...is this everything i would need? Linky

    Thanks in advance,

    Abraham

Why do you want to swap out your NA rear end (which is lighter, no HICAS, lower ratio & limitless options for aftermarket centre) for a TT rear end only to delete the HICAS, lower the ratio via an aftermarket gear and fit an aftermarket centre from a very limited range of options?

It would appear you have a 92 NA 300ZX JapSpec from the picture under your post.
Why would you replace your 4.1:1 ratio diff, with a heavier 4.1:1 Leader gear TT diff?

I was under the impression that the TT diff's are "stronger" compared to the NA diff? Especially with modified TT engines running high power...so not worth getting the TT diff & subframe?

    Yes, they are stronger.
Do you have a modified TT engine?

Im currently sourcing parts for it & building it...hence why im trying to "upgrade" my suspension & other components as needed

So wouldnt having a TT diff with the same ratio as a NA diff be the same except that it is heavier?

The TT diff is heavier in construction than an NA diff & would handle more abuse.
If you are considering swapping out the NA diff for a TT unit, get the complete subframe rear end.
You may find someone with a TT that is interested in swapping their TT setup for your NA unit.
Leader gears are around $1000.00 if you can find, them & a Quaife centre is $1450.00 plus freight.
Then add the cost of the bearings & seals (in one of your previous posts) plus the disassembly & reassembly charges.
Depending on which type of tail shaft you have, at a minimum, the rear joint/flange & possibly an adapter will be required.

    Don't understand

Unless your tt is putting out 800 hp and you drag race it why bother.

Keep the na it won't break if it does (which it won't) put your tt in

    This ^^

Half shafts will go before the diff. Keep the R200, more LSD options too.

Thanks everybody for the replies. I guess its best to keep my NA diff & subframe & hope it doesnt break...i guess i now need to find another NA subframe & diff that i can rebuild & swap over & sell off the leader gears i have
