QLD TT engine + stock turbos, T25/28 turbos and some other bits

I have for sale the original engine from my car. It is a series 1 manual TT engine, pulled to be replaced by my project engine.

I drove through some water and the engine developed some bearing rattle afterwards so would suit someone wanting to rebuild. Despite the rattle the car still pulled hard and ran reliably.

Engine comes complete with heads, cams and injectors (injectors would require a service as they are from the project engine and are quite dirty etc. Engine is partly dismantled still as seen in pictures. Comes with manifolds and manual turbos. I have water pipes and the timing belt upper covers - No lower cover, No plenum or accessories ( I do have an alternator but not sure if it works). Engine is missing a few bolts here and there for tappet covers etc, nothing a few trips to mitre 10 wont fix!

Engine is drained of oil. The pic with the red tappet covers on it is how it will be posted, will tape up any holes. Can post at buyer expense, will put it on a tyre on a pallet and strap it down and wrap it up. $1000 + post

Also have T25/28 hybrid turbos with .86 rear housings. I got these with the engine I bought off Horsepowerfreak, they have no brands or other marks cast in other than .86 on the exhaust housing. I ended up going with some hypergear high flowed stockies as I wanted less lag. Turbos seem to be in good condition, no guarantees though. Not sure how much they're worth so I'll start with $1000 + post

Oh I also have custom made 5 bolt dumps for the T25/28 turbos! I don't have any pics or know measurements tho..HAHA. I'll chuck them in with the turbos

hate to be a bastard but 800 for a ****ed engine?? without plenum and accesory's??
and its still missing peices....

 

I'm negotiable mate and basically just testing the waters to see how it goes.

I have found the accessories but can't guarentee they work. Plenum can be easily sourced from this forum for $50-100 and the bolts that are missing are a few small ones from the rocker covers and a couple other things which could be easily sourced from a hardware store. - If I have trouble selling it how it is I'll reassemble it and try again.

We can't auction stuff so I'm just seeing how it goes, if I don't get any interest I'll continue to drop the price like I have already!

Do you know what brand the turbos are?

 

No I don't as they have no castings on them as seen in pictures. If you're really keen I can try contact Horsepower_Freak who I bought them off and see if he can give me any more info.

 

$800 is a pretty sweet deal, but I want to be sure they're not chinese knock offs that will explode on first boost.

Hey buddy, got a member mate here in Toowoomba who doesn't get online much, but he's blown a turbo. Would you consider selling your 2x stock OEM turbos seperately from the engine at all?

 

Well they were running in his car but other than that I can't guarentee anything as I havn't run them. Its unfortunate he did such a low boost run, he needed bigger injectors to up the boost to where the turbos would actually be spinning and producing some good power!

Yeah I would seperate, however I don't guarentee anything with the turbos.

 

Stock turbos are sold pending payment.

Engine is still for sale, now at the price of $500 + post, still includes manifolds, will give what accessories I have (pretty sure i have aircon compresser, p/s pump and alternator) But with no guarentees on how well they work!
