Comes with Kakimoto Chip or a slightly milder chip to suit 95 oct fuel. Your choice..$400 outright. No change over. Nakkas 300zxtt@nakkas.org
Can you confirm whether or not either or both chips remove the speed limiter and raise the rev limiter to (say) 7500rpm?
So this chip would work best with a Kakimoto exhaust? Do you know if there easy to install and also take out. So this ECU will change the rev limiter and top speed giveing you more horsepower. Like is this one in same comparison to the Hitec ECU computer that says they give 60BHP. And do you need to change your speedo and tako display. How much for postage to NSW. Thanks Ryno
So many questions... The Kakimoto ECU was setup in Japan to suit a modified car. The ECU is socketted, so you can change chips to suit the mods on your car. The Kakimoto chip was tuned for high octane fuel, so if you run standard UL fuel, you may get some pinging. THe other chip in question is a slightly milder tune. The ECU is easy to install. You gain access to the ECU under the passenger foot well, remove the mounting bracket, unscrew the connector using a 10mm spanner and presto, it's out. I haven't dyno'ed this chip, but I gained 1.2 sec over the 1/4 mile. POsted free...
Sold ...... I'll take it with the Kakimoto chip, and will do a direct deposit EFT transfer to your bank details.
