Hey all, a few more questions on spending my money In second and fourth I have a grating, grinding sound while driving along. Second is definitely worse then fourth. Im guessing that a rebuild is in order and have been looking around for a while now. I had a site that had a rebuild kit for $400-something, but i darn well lost the link. Any ideas? its for a tt 5 speed btw. And onemore thing, if possible i would love to try and do it myself, never ripped into a transmission before but always happy to try. I know ill need special circlip pliers and some other specialised tools but what would I need to get? Or is it not worth doing myself, and just get the pros to do it? Thank you all muchly
I have seen the kits on Ebay U.S.A so maybe have a look there. One member does 5sp rebuilds at a reseonable price so maybe do a search ( feel it was one of the Queensland guys ).
