can i replace the metal transmission cooler lines with any other hose, like braided lines ect.....

the reason i ask this because while pulling my engine out i hooked my chain around the engine and the cooler lines feeding into the transmission got caught up in it :(.
and well i snapped them in 2 so i need to replace them both

Yeah mate thats fine. Failing that i have some kicking around. Might be bent now.... but i did a manual conversion, so they're just rubbish.

But either high pressure hydraulic hose and or braided nylon hoses are fine. Probably much easier to work with too.

Rubber hoses should be kept to a minimum.

I would get replacement steel lines either new or used.

Are steel lines available from Nissan?

Enzed or Pirtek should be able to make steel lines if you have original lines that can be used as a template.
