I've installed stillen front adjustable upper control arms but can't find the torque specs in the service manual for both inner and outer bolts.

Anyone know what I should use?

Torqueing them up while the car is on the ground is going to be a challenge .

Not quite that hard, partially torque everything up while jacked up. Place some blocks under the brake discs to simulate height with wheels on, lower car onto blocks. torque to specs, jack up replace wheels and away you go

What I actually did was put the car on stands under each tension rod bush mounting point and then jacked up under the lower control arm to take the weight of the wheel assembly. I then tighted the bolts. I hoped this simulated the car being on the ground. Does this sound right?

    88 to 108 Nm

I think you will find that the recommended torque is 88 to 108 Nm as shown in section FA-13 of the workshop manual.

In order to minimise the creek asociated with some aftermarket front upper control arms, I tightened to a lesser torque and added a locking nut with full torque applied.

If they are the same as the Midori style with bearings then you should do them up not as tight. I think it was round 70n.m. Too much and the bearings will flog out super quick.

Not midori type. They are Stillen type (two plates that slide over each other) with green rubber bushes and grease nipples. I might try Bolt's suggestion with the extra nut :).

... but the "bolts" 'creek' in the engine bay is a worry ... lol...!!!
