hey guys I just put a deposit on a 300zx and I was just wondering if there was a tommy kaira zx made that's na 2+2 manual jap spec The reason I ask is as I was walking around the car I noticed the wing and thought it looked weird the infill panel was missing... I had a look under the wing and there is a indented plark saying tommy kaira looked legit soo I searched it up and it is the same wing as all the ones on the net Is there any more tell tale signs ment to be on the car that says tommy kaira or kits
Tommy kaira never came out in na I'm fairly sure. More goodies on them than just a wing too they had a front bar, cluster, seat, and different rims afaik.
Tuned engine, steering wheel, nose panel decal, side decals, rear decals and more I'm sure. They sold the wings separately I think. Sounds like you got one of those. Sounds like a good find
lol only reason I bought it was for the wing and it was dirt cheap I need to do alot to it to get it looking nice again its a hit at the left rear lower control arm is bent the nylon bush for the gear linkage is worn... hole in the exhaust and acouple lil things but other then that long ass list I think it will be very nice once its done Ill post some photos either tomorrow or the day after when I pick it up
looks like a nice clean stock j-spec NA, with mags and a spoiler.....really good base to start with mate!
the left hand rear quarter has some substantial damage on it soo its gonna be in the body shop for abit. I can't wait to take it out havnt had a good drive in a 300zx for a very long time
legit tommy kaira zeds have the wing moulded and different front bar. that one definitely looks like it's been added and not fitted very well judging by the huge gap between it and the hatch. might want to take it off and check for rust under it while you're at it. still, if it was dirt cheap i'd say it's a good buy. i love those wings and lusted after one for so long but could never get one :\
the car was cheap enough but the repairs to the side are adding up. I'm just happy to have a 300zx again, I still have my old 300zx sitting on stands that im stripping all my old parts off and putting on this one im hopping to have it on the road by the end of march thanks for all the info guys
