hey guys, i recently rang nearly every insurence agency there is lookin for insurence, and one place seemed really great but is only for un-modified cars, so i figured i would pass it on to you lot! elders insurence was going to insure me for 1600 a year (if it was unmodified) and they give you a instant rating 1 (to someone who doesnt know thats like 50% discount on premium straight up). i thought that was great and if my car wasnt so modded i would have gone for that for sure, just something for anyone with a stock zed to keep in mind, by the way im 20 and own a TT manual 1990 zed... pretty sweet hey. by the way the only places that would touch me (not literally) was just cars, young and cool and famous insurence... yup only 3, pretty neat hey. JC=2400, 2000-3500 exess- 12500 car value YNC=2900, 1500-2000 exess-12500 car value famous=1900, 2k exess, replaces the car with one in the same condition with the same mods etc. no matter what price it is, could be a 4000$ car could be a 20 000$ car. as for the instant rating one, i imagine that wont transfer over, but atleast you can stay on rating one for 5 years, untill you earn a real rating one, then that would change over for sure.
If your car is not modded try ING i am 20 and only paying 800 a year for full comprehensive and it does not change if the car is turbo or NA...........i searched everywhere and they seemed the only place that were even reasonable.............
how awesome is ing! I signed up with them today, im 17, na 2 seater for $740!!! thats declaring that my dad was the owner of the car though and i was only a 'secondary driver' still, absolutely awesome, at least $800 than enywhere wlse
so what would happen if u crashed and said it was stock but had rims on it????...............would they just flat out refuse to pay you???........
Aus Delivered or J-spec? Was your Z Aus delivered or J-Spec?? As some insurers charge way more for 'grey' imports than aus delivered versions of the same car.
yeah alot dont even do the imports... they can refuse to pay you out, since you lied to them, which they will for new members, but for a old memeber they may not.... they need loyalty too ya know.
