    Hi
Just done full 100k service with Kzed's kit on my NA put all back together, engine had a nice note to it, then oil leaking from inlet cam drivers side. Took all apart again, fixed leaking seal, spring in seal all twisted up.:(

Then I have put all back together and started it up to hear the engine missing or something. Engine rattllying around like a lumpy V8:eek: and doesn't sound good at all.
I thought it might have missed a tooth on the timing belt, so I pulled it all apart again to see all o.K All markings on TDC.

I put cas back in same spot, for the timing, am I missing something??
It was sounding great after I changed the timing belt the first time.

    Any idea's?

    Thanks Stonie

    coilpack connecter

    Son
check your coilpack connecters they might have come loose, it will sound n feel very lumpy if coilpack connecters are loose. push them in as u maybe touch on n came loose for some reason. it runs on five cylinders if its the case. push in n u should have all six cylinders

I took out sparkplugs and the 3 on passengers side all seem ok, all three on drivers side are wet from fuel.No Oil appears to be on plugs.

I have noticed out the exhauston drives side alot of presure compared to the left side, and all clear exhaust fumes no smoke. Have not checked under load though.

    Any Help would be great.

    Long shot, but...

... could you have inadvertently connected coil packs or injectors 1 & 3 wrong way around?

    OK, so..

... revisit all mods and double-check things like vacuum hoses/pcv/egr blanking plates etc. I had an NA which produced similar symptoms thru vac leak on drivers side plenum/egr flange.

May be electrical so also check for spark on all cyls; clean/tight connections etc.

I have check all vacuum seals and seem O.K.

All three sparkys are wet from fuel on drivers side, and when I lift off the coilpack connectors the engine still sounds the same, on all 3, but taking 1 off at a time.
Does that mean it is only running on the the 3 cylinders:eek: on the passengers side?
Also out the exhaust on driversside blows cold air & 3x as hard as left side.

Please Help if you have any info that can get my Zed back on the road.

    Stonie

    Hi
    Zed still no go:( :(
Any info will help on these problems my Zed is having.
I changed PTU over, then my engine didn't start at all. Are AUS Spec PTU's different?Changed back to my old PTU and engine started but still with the same problems.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks Stonie

It is quite common for another PTU to not work due to a wax-like coating on the pins. Clean the pins on both PTU's until bright and shiny then do a continuity test across each PTU to make sure both are serviceable. See Ef & EC section of FSM for procedure.

    Aus-spec/J-spec & NA/TT PTU's the same.
