Hey guys, So i've started hearing a ticking sound from the front while the car is running. The more I accelerate the louder it gets. Appears to be quieter if the clutch is in and after its let out it goes back to as loud as it was. Worried its something really bad :/
I would suspect that the ticking noise is the hydraulic lifters, a good way to correct this is to don an oil change to a good grade oil and then run for 1000klms. I cannot think of anything that should increase or decrease noise when clutch is depressed
you try that diesel oil flush as mentioned previously where the high detergent action frees up lifters etc run for a day on not too much boost flush out and good oil back in should fix it
