4km to a Litre of fuel? Leave it at home and travel by taxi. Or put a house-brick under the accellerator pedal.:LOL:
You think yours is crap - 97km to 68l Was around the track but anyways! haha I have only ever got 400kms to the tank once! And even then it was just! *sigh*
TT auto 15l/100km I've only done 100km mostly metro driving. 15l to top up. I guess if the tank holds 72l thats about 480km per tank. The TT has a nice push in the back from 60km/hr on, even on small throttle openings. Wonder if you get serious with the right foot whether it goes up much. Generally I'd be using Optimax (and Coles discount vouchers). But there's a lot more Shell servos around me (4 in 4 directions) than BP. John :zlove:
My rear bumper is constantly covered in black Also my exhaust is quite pungent, especially when idling in traffic. I still manage to get around 500km/tank but could this be improved with proper tuning? I spose it's better than being lean...just curious becuase im back to driving to wollongong uni 4 days a week and i wouldnt mind saving some money for beers...sorry for goin 9/11 on the thread Cheers Adam
I'm getting 16L for 100km That's with BP ultmate, and mobil 8000. Optimax in the old car didnt get as much mileage for me. And now with the coupons I reckon they'd wanna dilute it a bit to even things out. got optimax in that tank now though, so we'll see how that goes! leaking filler neck ey... that's nothing! When I first got my car it had no fuel cap, and I don't think they had put in the modified filler neck yet. I filled up $80 worth of BP ultimate, and was down to half a tank after 40K's. Didn't realise it til my second tank. Filled her up full, really full. So full it started gushing out at the station. And then when i parked it at my mates house, it started gushing out by itself after i turned the engine on and then off again. And it wouldn't stop for about 10 mins!
this is all way too depressing ..!! should we not all do a collective VTD so that we do not have to confront it ???.. a bit like sychronised swimming .???.. and did not the moderators tell us (jet power??), a couple of months ago, to use search if we wanted info on comsuption .. ( previously known as TB )..?? ..anyway, you guys, just be happy you have a zed to drive ..wwwaaarrhhh!!!! ):wacko::wacko::wacko::wacko::wacko:
Just to add to your misery Baz, I still get 400+Kays before fuel light comes on and I have one dead and one lazy 02 with stock TT ECU ... hehe...
When I returned to >> NSW after Xmas/New Year, I done a test, just to put my mind at ease. Full tank got me 564klms before the fuel light came on.:thumbsup::thumbsup: I drove to the nearest Petrol Station & filled up to, as near as possible the same level. ( just dribbling out the fuel neck) I still had 14lts in the tank, according to what went in & the total amount that the tank holds. Mind you, I drove as "chicken legs" puts it, like an old man, but conservatively, NO thumping of the pedal or hard braking etc. Drive hard by all means, & you'll pay through the pocket, one way or another. Food for thought perhaps, for those that like a lot of spirited driving. Cheers Kerry
Kept record of fuel usage From day one. In 10590 ks have used 1321.8 litres. This gives 8.1 K`s / litre or 583 k`s per tank.
Don't want to gloat or anything, but... just got back from a trip up to Mt Buller with the missus, and recorded a whopping 462 km from just under 3/4 tank (Ultimate)! that works out to be a little better than 11.7 litres/100km (by my calculations, so they're probably wrong). This including getting up the mountain and the urban driving from my house up until the lights disappeared around Lilydale, and to be honest, wasn't exactly easy on the car on the way up the mountain. Not bad results for that kind of driving. anyways just remember, you're never going to get world-beating mileage out of a sportscar, its not what the zed is all about :zlove:
