No way in hell I'm missing the GOR.

I can't even imagine how good it will be with a fully adjustable suspension setup!

Coilovers need to go in, then slammage and rolled guards to suit

Small change from this setup, the D2 coilovers and braces aren't going ahead, instead I purchased a set of Powertrix race coilovers from CZP!

Things always turn out more expensive than planned, but meh, who cares

Very nice paint work, whats the color called ? I have something that looks almost the exact same on my MR2, is it a 2pac candy ?, no one can seem to mix me some touch up paint :(

Thank you, its far from perfect however. The colour is midnight purple, unsure of the paint code however, can check for you later :)

    Parts Parts Parts!

I'm always amazed at how quickly CZP gets parts out to me, its been little over a week and today I received my first suspension package!

    Major Update 1; Tyres

Wow, so a lot has happened since I last updated, but I've been way too busy with other Zed related things to get on here and update my thread.

    Anyway, from the start.

Got a flat on one of the rear wheels, where I had a lot of stretch. Went to get it repaired, but nobody would repair it because of the excessive stretch, and because the tires were balding anyway.

So decided that I would go get some new ones, got some quotes, and decided on Falken ZE912's. Went for 17" 235x45 on the fronts, and 17" 245x45 on the rear. Went to the shop, fitted the wheels, was happy with how everything went, then turned the wheel at full lock just to double check they wouldn't scrub, and of course they did :( I previously had 255x45 on the stock rims and had no scrubbing issues what so ever, so I was a little pissed.

Zed stayed at the shop overnight, and the owner was nice enough to take back the front tires and exchange them for some smaller 17" 215x45's. Ended up getting Pirreli's on the front, as the price difference wasn't much :) That was one issue sorted! On to the next one...

    Major Update 2; Suspension!

After receiving both my orders of suspension from CZP, who I can say did an outstanding job yet again of packaging and delivery of my order, it was time to get everything installed.

Decided to go with Pedders for the install, as I thought a reputable business would be less likely to screw me around... I thought wrong.

Dropped the car off Thursday night, was told it'd be ready Friday night, with Coilovers, Rear Camber Arms, Front Camber Arms & Front Tension Rods installed and aligned to my specs. Turned up half an hour before close, the car was still up on the hoist, in pieces, unaligned... Long story short, I had to leave my mum there to drive the car, unaligned and boot trim in pieces, home, while I went and picked up murci (Matt) and his girlfriend to take to the airport.

Even though Pedders made a horrible mess of everything, I took the Zed for a drive that night, while the coilovers were still at max height, and the difference was insane. Handled like on rails! :br:

New problem? Everytime I hit a bump, the rear drivers side tyre would hit the inside of the guard, making a terrible noise and chewing up my new tyre!

    Solution..? Guards rolled

Get in there, find whatever has little rubber boogers on it and unbolt/cut/relocate it.

    Major Update 3; Guards Rolled

Got my guards rolled by Gavin from Low Down Guard Rolling. Extremely professional, and did an amazing job with the rolling. Absolutely no cracked paint, and left the majority of the guard liner in which is what I asked for. Also extremely accommodating for my needs/time restraints, couldn't recommend anyone higher for the job!

Unfortunately no pictures of the rolled guards while still at height, will get around to it eventually :(

So with that done, the rubbing stopped, and all was well, except I was still rolling on MAX height on my Powertrix Race Coilovers, which was a problem for me, as the GOR cruise was 2 days away...

Solution..? Chris from Tyre Power North Melbourne!

Major Update 4; Slam & Stance!

Probably the biggest update of them all.

Was meant to be going to mr zedx (Rod's) house Saturday, the day before the GOR, for slammage and stance, but it was canceled, and I was stuck... Luckly Rod recommended Chris from Tyre Power, and he was happy to help.

Arrived on short notice, wanting a legal-ish height drop, and some fitment... 5 minutes with Chris and he had me nodding when he said "on the floor". He wasn't lying.

Got to work on the fronts, and dropped them both to max low and dialed up the camber...

    This is before.

Then got to work on the rears... Not as easy as the fronts

    Went from this.

    To THIS!

Yeah, a massive drop! With his alignment tool however, he couldn't cater for such a low car, so he sent me down the road to Bob Jane... After an embarrassing incident where I basically see-saw'ed on their driveway, they told me they couldn't align it due to its height, or lack of...

    I didn't blame them :D:D

So back to Chris with much difficultly, as now with such a low car and lack of alignment, the rear drives tyre was hammering the inside of the guard yet again!

We raised it slightly, 10mm or so at most, and it mostly solved the issue!

This is how she sat at the GOR, which was an amazing cruise btw.

Zed was actually on the floor for this one :p

So that's it, that's how she sits, and that's the end of my updates for now!

Next up, installation of my chrome gauge rings & braided brake lines.

Big thanks to everyone who helped me get even this far, Rod, Martin, Matt, Chris (Tyre Power), and to everyone else who I've forgotten to mention. Thank you.

    Looking good dean....

I must admit, not quite my thing (the low stance I mean), and not into the hassles it causes. But your car does look nice :) Enjoy. Hopefully no issues with the boys in blue.

    Christmas time!

Received my Roof Wing and Foglight Ducts today from ztoy, very happy with the way it was packaged, however there is a small amount of damage to the Roof Wing :(

Also received my Impul 300km Cluster, courtesy of Jesse Streeter and Michael (OZX_320). Massive thanks to Michael for organizing everything, absolute champion and a pleasure to deal with!
