    .

since my last update i havnt done much..
1- crank & seals in and ready
2- put 18 pistons into the block
    3- ....
    thats about it.
if i can think of anything else ill let you guys know :)

O and i got an apprenticeship, from the 16th of jan ill be either a 1st year mechanic or engine reconditioner. thinking more of a reconditioner, just seems like the type of thing i would enjoy. anyone from here either? any advice on which would be the better path?

    cheers,
    ben

the first time i didnt set the rings up correctly, and the 2nd time i had a bad feeling that i didnt put them in the right way (markings on the rings upside down) good news from the 2nd one i was right :) time was not wasted there

I'd do engine reconditioning. Try to get all your tickets in diesel, work up the hunter valley, and earn a good $150K first year out, and probably a damn good wicket before that too...

    hey all,
just to keep you all updated on what going on, not alot, went to repco to see what i could get rings, for $216 i will wait for the mechanics to open back up and ill order them in then.
Been sitting around most of the days till yesterday i decided to fit my body kit. it started off well, a little but of sanding on the front bar, and now all i need to do is make a cupple things to support it *fun* :( and with the skirts there are a cupple problems. 1st off they are about 10mm different in length to each other. one part of them is about 7mm out from the body (abit of good glue should fix that) and they dont clear the door.
so i still have a bit to do before the end of march. hope to have the car painted in 30days (not going to happen) and the motor done within 30days starting from the 16th, also (not going to happen). but nun the less the car will be at the zedfest (positive thing)
    cheers
