well the pumps been replaced but still no improvement .. will just have to put up with it.

 

go buy a 4L bottle of ATF and keep as spare. mine drips from the base of the rack. i just top up the PS res every 3 months.

 

it doesnt leak! atleast i dont think it does aha its just stiff all the time unitl it decies to want to scare you mid corner and go light again aha

robbo that's probably the solenoid on the steering rack going bad.

mine was doing that and rather than replacing it, i just unplugged the connector. it stays on the heaviest setting all the time. pretty heavy when parking but man up and deal with it.

at least it's safer that way when driving spiritedly. since yours is mostly heavy all the time, i'd recommend get under the car, unplug that solenoid.

my mate sandeep might want to buy your old PS pump btw. how much you want for it?

 

Yeah your right Mike! It's the solenoid that is supposed to work with your speed, in slow driving its light, in fast driving it harden up to make for safer handeling I suppose... Mine is also heavy when it's not supposed to be sometimes... But more so its normal.

Ps solenoid replaced and oil changed.
Thought the solineiod wasn't working but then I remembered I didn't plug it in will see how it goes on the way home from work. Then it's in for a night of cleaning and loving

umm i didnt hear back from tqe, so 7:30 gives us plenty of time to get from frankston to the meet i think
