So i know this is soon following the previous groupbuy on Tein coilovers, but i thought i would see who is interested in participating in another for those people who missed out like myself! Like my coilpacks Groupbuy i need new suspension too:zlove:, So the best way to get good savings for everyone is to run a groupbuy! I have a quote of $1950 per set of Tein Type Flex Coilovers and $1650 per set of Tein Super Street Coilovers. Both can be used with the EFDC (Extra $500) for in car adjustment These prices are delivered to your door:thumbsup: Need a minimum of 10 orders (can mix&match just need 10 in total) The Super Street suits sporty driving without sacaraficing comfort. Standard Dampening gives close to OE ride feel, but can be adjusted to offer rates more suited to sport driving. Whilst; The Type Flex Suits a slightly more agressive style of driving, whilst still being flexable enough in its settings to offer moderate comfort when set to standard dampening. These also come with "Special" Pillow Ball Upper-Mounts. Both units are able to be fully overhauled. (By Fulcrum Suspnsions i guess since they are the authurised distributer) I will leave this post running for a bit to get the numbers in as i presume that those interested in suspension got in on the recent group buy. any questions queries just pm me or post here Casey
just note.. super street are 80% stiffer springs than stock, and dampers are alot more agressive are these jap or yanky coilovers? do they come with the top mounts?
Finding out exact spring rates; may know tomorrow, but most likely monday. I am 99% certain these are jap spec. but i better get it in writing to make 100%. By top mounts do you mean what Tein call "upper mounts" then yes they do. And in the Super Street they are made from rubber. And the Type Flex Coilovers come with "pillow ball upper mounts" If top mounts are something different i will confirm.
Spring Rates Got the spring rates as promised Yes they are jap spec Tein Super Street 5kg Front 4kg Rear Tein Type Flex 8kg Front 6kg Rear any questions please dont hesatate to ask.
which one to buy so what am i paying the extra coin for? are there any other advantages other than stiffer ride with the flex coilovers? if im just looking for a stiffer ride, not interested in any trackwork etc??
Extra Coin The extra coin is for; pillow ball uppers, harder springs, these also allow you to adjust ride height :wacko:independantly:wacko: of the spring setting giving the car better balance on the track. and they are just a better coilover in the model range.
Type flex i have just had a long talk with Graham (Fulcrum Suspension Australia) (Tein Autherised Distributor) and John (Pengleton UAS Fame) and the 3 of us are going to colaborate on the suspension package. I will be looking to put an order through in about 6-8 weeks with uas to allow a fresh set of ppl to look at investing coilovers. as the recent GB was a big success. Will be able to do them for the same Price as i sourced them, with a minimum of 5 ppl in the group buy. these will come with backing of Fulcrum Aust. This means that they will have Full Australian Warranty and won't have to leave the country for repairs under warranty. and will be re-valved to suit Australian roads perfectly. This seems like a good partnership in my eyes. let me know what you think.
Re Valving Yes it will be revalved for australian use. And the suspension will be fuly "Australianised". From what i can understand it means that they change the ratio of the valve conents to offer a rate more suited to suatralian roads. but i wil find out exactly from fulcrum and the specs of the Revalvement.
OK im in for a set of flex Just spoke to JP at UAS, If you order now you can get sent with the SS group Buy. Just ordered and paid for mine now.
Re: OK im in for a set of flex um, just letting you guys know, the other group buy has been wrapped up.. and the lead time is around 12 weeks for these ex japan as tein is behind in production
Lets Wait as minivan has said tein is WAY behind in production, to the tune of 12 weeks+. So i think we will delay this GB at least that time to allow tein to catch up and meet the orders they already have. this give people a chance to express their interest and as the 12 weeks draws to a close i will contact them and see how long turn around will be. So if your interested let it be known here, or ask any questions and i will get back to those ppl via pm when tein get on top of things.
im keen i would like a set of flex coilovers... how long would i have to wait though? 12 weeks until the order is placed? would give me time to save some more coin
 You can count me in this GB Casey!! I've been waiting for a GB like this.:zlove: Most likely the Super Streets but will confirm when GB is back up and running.
